I feel so guilty saying this....but I've just finished 26 from ONE shower, and stilll have 25 from the same shower to go....BLAH!
Anybody else still working or still need to start their thank you notes?

I just had my shower Saturday and we didn't have a huge crowd or anything, so I have those to do and like 5 to do from my playgroup moms that got me gifts last week. I'm planning on doing them today.

It hasn't been that long since you're shower, I doubt anyone would notice. Heck, I've gotten thank you cards like a month and a half later after a party/shower before!  As long as ya get them out, that's all that matters. I know what a drag it is though, I'm sitting here on the computer and should be writing mine, but just can't get motivated!

I am really bad!! I had my shower five weeks ago!! I have only finished half of them. I really need to do it. I just get at a point where I am at a loss for words. GRHH!! I think that will be my task for tomorrow night!!

I write one, then I check the board...then I write another, then I heave a big sigh. It's going to be long afternoon!
I just bought a shiny new planner, and that will be my reward--getting it all set up, and then going to the post office in this beautiful weather! How sad that a planner gets me going these days!

My shower isn't until Sunday, but I'm sure I'll be in the same boat as you!! I know it took me forever to get the motivation to write my thank you's for our wedding.

Well, now I'm super mad...if I had gotten them done two days earlier, I wouldn't have to buy.01 cent stamps. I have a ton of cutesy 41 cent stamps. Stamps went up to 42 cents effective yesterday.

No shower here, so no thank yous needed to be done. Hope you get them done, I know that it not a fun tasks - esp now when everything is an effort. I just got done paying some bills that I should have done a few days ago.

I sat and wrote out about 30 in one sitting. Which this caused major numbeness in my whole hands added to my already numb fingers! So, a friend of mine told me what she did to save time and still be able to get them out. She did them on her computer.

I inserted a pic of me & DH in the top right corner of the message. I get about 4 to a page and cut them out, fill in the blank with the gift the person gave us, then I lightly glue them in the blank thank you cards. Those that I've heard responses back like them. Just a suggestions. THis has helped me stay current on getting them out & not miss anyone. HTH.

I've finished almost all of them by hand. Unfortunately, I'm out of return address labels, so I'm going to have to hand write out the rest of those as well. Grrrr!
The first shower we had, I had those thank yous done very quickly. There were only a handful really to do, so it wasn't so bad!

I just mailed out my ones from my first shower--and haven't even started the ones from my 2nd shower - but it was only 2 weeks ago--so I will probably do them this week or next!

I only have a few more left to do! DH promised me a ride in the convertable tomorrow morning when he gets home from work to drop them at the post office, if I finish them. LOL, I'm like a little kid--you can bribe me so easily!

i had mine out within 3 days after my shower. if i didnt get them out then they would have never went out.

I always get cramps in my hands when writing thank you notes!!! I have to take breaks, do 5 or 10 here, 5 or 10 there, until I get them all done. Don't worry though, you have a little bit of time before you really have to send them out. (etiquette wise)
