I have been having contractions since yesterday and they aren't getting any closer but my back is killing me and I have Diarreha(sp?) (tmi) and when I was induced with my last one I was on the pitocin and didn't feel any of my contractions just alot of back pain and pressure

So my question is should I go to L & D and just get checked out or should I just wait things out??

Thanks ladies!

I've been having so much fake labor stuff I would probably hang around and see if they get stronger/closer or fizzle out. I'd probably drink a bunch of fluids(if your tummy can handle it) and do the opposite of whatever you've been doing(ie. if you've been laying down get up and take a walk, if you've been busy lay down...) and just see what happens. Maybe you could call your doc and tell them/see what they say? I was induced with my first to, so I know how you feel about this whole going into labor on your own thing....personally I think it kind of sucks!

if they are 3/5 minutes apart, i would call, otherwise i would wait. at 36 weeks, you probably shouldn't do anything like walking to pick up the contractions unless your dr is willing to deliver at 36 weeks. most drs will stop labor before 37 weeks. i've had off and on contractions for quite a while now, and still no baby

I'd wait since they aren't getting stronger or closer together. Also, drink water, walk, take a bath, etc. True labor will continue on while false labor will fizzle out when you do various things. Sometimes it just takes a long time for labor to really get going (I had 3 full weeks of prodromal labor like you are describing before going into true labor with Ani).

I would definately watch it closely if you dont go in b/c you dont want labor to creep up and you not make it in time. Keep us posted with how your feeling!

I would wait around and see if they get closer and stronger. But if you feel safer calling then definately do.
