Since people have been posting pics lately and they all look GREAT by the way... How did you pick the theme of your nursery? Ours is sailboats... I just thought it looked cute and very boy and lots of blues... I went back and forth literally about 5 times on different ones before deciding what to do!

Well, before we got pregnant, DH and I were looking at the baby stuff at Burlington Coat Factory and saw this crib with the Sugar Plum set on it. Of course, I burst into tears and said it would be perfect for a little girl. A couple months later, we got pregnant (with a little girl) and so that's what we're going with.
Here's a picture of the set...
We're also going with the dark cherry crib as well.

It was the first bedding I saw that really caught my attention and that I absolutely loved, so I bought that and have been decorating the nursery accordingly.

I saw a turtle set that I liked, and then when I saw the Mod Turtle that was blue and brown I knew that was it. I love that color scheme, so I had to do it!

I have no theme. No idea why I don't. Maybe because nothing went with the wall color I picked.

We before I got prego I was at babies r us and the were having a huge sale. I bought a crib set for 24.99. It was a beach theme and had both a girl and boy on it. So that is what we are using. I would love to have a girly little room for her, but money is tight enough and since we have one, my husband said we would not change.

I picked beatrix potter and sage green as the room color because I knew it would be gender neutral. This will make it easier to adjust for more kids down the line! I just love the whole classic style of beatrix potter characters like Jemima puddle duck and peter rabbit! I have been so impressed with everyones progress thus far as we are far from being finished in the nursery!

I picked our bedding because it has bright colors and is gender neutral - we knew from the start we didn't want to find out what we were having. We are using the Cocalo Alphabet Soup set. I am totally in love with it!

We weren't even going to do a nursery at first but then ended up getting a crib. We have the Rainforest (fisher-price) theme and ended up finding the matching bedding set so that's what we went with. I just love the bright colors and that it could work for either gender. But mostly just because I love the bright colors!

I've always liked animals. DH wanted Winnie the Pooh, which I was ok with, but my brother already had for his kids and I like being unique. I caught my eye on the Jungle themes they had, Zanzibar and Cocoa Baby and had to decide between the two of them. Even though Zanzibar had more items, both DH and I were more attracted to the Cocoa Baby theme...which also happened to be the them put on the crib set we liked, so we got to see the entire set as we would have it.

I saw the bedding I liked first (Cocalo Turtle Bay) and I love the colors because they were pretty neutral. We decided on white furniture, but so far haven't done too much decorating since we are moving shortly after he arrives. My shower is in a month, so I am hoping I can get some more ocean themed stuff for the baby!

Since Edward is the first and the boys will be sharing a room, I thought we would stick with the theme that Edward wanted, which is trains and Thomas the Tank Engine. He's the oldest and since he has to share his room, he got to pick the theme. Preston will have to deal with it until we can afford a bigger house. Edward was here first...it's only fair.
