Hey! I need a little help on the name we have chosen. We have decided on Drake as a first name for sure. But I'm having a tough time deciding on a middle name and DH said it was up to me. My DH's name is Christopher Thomas and I would like to choose a middle name after him but I'm not sure if I want to use Christopher or Thomas. I was really leaning toward Drake Christopher until last night my Father-in-Law was telling me that if we used Thomas then it would be the 7th generation to use Thomas in the name. So I felt the pressure of using Thomas come over me. I like Thomas and all but for some reason Christopher appeals to me more. So I just want to get all of your opinions so maybe it would help me in my decision. Oh, our last name is Tidwell just in case that helps. Thanks for any help, it will be much appreciated!!!

Drake Christopher
or
Drake Thomas

LOL, those were my two choices when I thought SHE was a HE. IMO, I think they're both wonderful but I think Christopher flows better with your last name. I understand the pressure to use Thomas though, can you maybe use both names? Drake Thomas-Christopher Tidwell or Drake Christopher-Thomas Tidwell?? It's long but he'd have a choice and you would get both.

Thanks for your help! Using both names is definitely an option. It will be a long name but if I DH won't be any more help and it gets down to the last minute and I still haven't decided that might be my decision. I agree, I also think Christopher flows better with our last name and that's really why I'm more partial to it.

I like them both, but am more partial to Thomas for some reason, not due to the generational stuff though, that isn't why. In my head it just works better for some reason.

Anyways, I did have a point...lol I was going to just say that I do like the idea of 2 middle names too.

I am useless here LOL Those are hard choices for sure!

I like the idea of using both too...but if you plan on more children, you could save Thomas for another boy if you really like Christopher...

Personally if I had to choose one, I would chose Thomas...but not for the generational thing, I just like the way Drake Thomas Tidwell sounds.
