Well, technically it's furniture for the baby's space, not really a baby item per say.

Our child will never lack for something to read, or something to be read from! It feels kinda good to get them all out of the living room, so I can fill up those shelves with grown up books.

I loved to read growing up and still do today...when I can find time which is usually snuck in here and there. Lucky baby.

IMO a bookshelf is a very important thing for a baby's room! I've always had one in each of the kids' rooms and have read to them all of the time from the time they were new. It's our special time and they love it as much as I do. Of course now they really like to read to me!!

I'm waiting to order the crib and the dresser until BRU has them both in stock at the same time. That way shipping will be less, at least in theory. I don't know how that's going to work out though, since I work full time. How to get them from the office back upstairs to my apartment that's all the way across the property? Or do I have them shipped to work and have someone put them in the car and I can drive them close, but then DH will have to figure out how to get them upstairs? BLAH!

My collection of books is pretty comprehensive, but I think I want a new copy of Goodnight Moon, as mine is falling apart. I also discovered I have two each of Brown Bear Brown Bear and Where the Wild Things Are!
