So, yesterday I went to Motherhood to buy an outfit for my interview today b/c I knew nothing I had from earlier in my pregnancy would fit right. I was so stoked b/c I found the perfect pair of black pants and a great shirt. Well, I had like three pairs of black pants in the dressing room with me. I was so tired and ready to go, that I grabbed the WRONG pair of black pants. I grabbed a pair I hadn't even tried on!!!! And do you think I noticed it when I checked out? Or when I got to the car? NOPE! I freaking notice just now when I got my clothes out to start getting ready. ***? I have to be the stupidest person on the planet right now. Now I'm literally sitting here in tears b/c I have no pants to wear. The pants I bought barely fit and look really snug. And the only other pair of black pants I have are too tight, too. Da*n it to heck! I am so freaking mad at myself. This was supposed to be a "lucky" outfit. I felt so comfortable in the other pants I picked out. I didn't feel like a huge, beached whale. And now I do. Argh...I just wanna cry. I sure hope I can maintain my composure during the interview. I am pi**ed at my studpid self! This can't be a good sign of my day to come, can it? I guess I need to learn to laugh at myself and move on, but I'm just really ticked right now.
Oh sweetie, I'm so sorry to hear about the pants!! That's so something I could see myself doing. But on the bright side, I'd look at this as a GOOD sign...it's just one of those things that you'd never expect to happen, and in a way, it can't really get much worse, so I bet your interview will go really well!!! Just stay positive and think of how funny that story will be later! lol
Good luck and KUP on how it goes!!!
oh dear! Maybe you'd be more comfortable in a dress or something? Do you have time to go pick up the right pants before the interview and wear them out of the store?
But hey, maybe this is just getting the bad stuff out of the way today before you even get to your interview.
And remember--they're interviewing you, not your pants, not your pregnancy, but YOU and your qualifications. And like you said--before they wanted to hire you, but you were missing the certification--you still have everything they want and more! You're going to do great!
If you don't have time to switch the pants, I know how frustrating and upsetting it can be to have an outfit not work out, but don't let it shake you and ruin your day. Find something to laugh about, and then finish thinking about your answers to the questions they are likely to ask you (and how you're going to let them know that you'll be ready to work when the school year starts, since they'll probably be too scared to ask you that but still want the reassurance that you're not going to take the job and then not come in because you decide to stay home). Get online and make sure you know something about everyone you're interviewing with, and then relax. You're going to do great! You'd do great even if you went in in neon-pink painted on zebra stripe pants and a turquoise sequined top.
to the other girls!!! That would probably be me on a regular day!! I'm sure they will understand, I mean hello, you're pregnant!!! That actually happened to me awhile ago (well not exactly), I was dressed for work and I'm trying to eat and drive (hush all you people) and I got a little tomato on my white sweater...no biggie just get to work and treat the stain right? WRONG! I got pulled in for an interview for a promotion....I wasn't even notified! I wasn't even wearing a suit!!! Sooo we had a couple of laughs at my tomato stain, and my completely casual maternity clothes, and moved on.
Good Luck Stacey!

Thanks girls! I'm feeling a little less freaked out. These hormones just make me crazy! I wish I had time to drive and exchange them, but the closest Motherhood is an hour away, so I have to make what I have work. My grandma walked over and told me that they don't look too tight b/c my shirt goes down pretty far, so it covers up the tightness in the butt. It is kinda funny now that I'm done overreacting! LOL It will make for a good story to tell my coworkers when I get the job (See, I'm thinking positive here!). This is MY job! I'm destined for it, have been since birth!

Yep! Thats what i was thinking when i read your first post! You'll get a few chuckles out of all your new co-workers at the lunch table when you tell them this story!
I'm sure you are your worst critic anyway. I know i am. I bet the pants look fine, you'll be sitting during the interview, so they will only see your top and your face.
But, oh, do i understand how you felt! I did something SOOOO stupid yesterday. To stupid to admit on JM! We are all just SO pregnant and SO over it! We can barley even function anymore!
Good luck at your interview stacey. You're so sweet and friendly, i know you'll do great! Don't forget to hurry home and KUP!
Aww that sucks and Ive done that too. Do you have any time to swing by there and pick them up and just return the others another time? Or are they that bad???
