I love my hooter hider!!

I just got my hooter hider in the mail today (I ordered a bebe au lait off ebay) and I absolutely love it!! I had company over this afternoon to visit and Josiah woke up right before they came and he was starving (or he cried like he was!)..so I was able to sit and chat with them on the couch and feed him! It was great!

NIP will no longer be an issue for me!!

The name "hooter hider" CRACKS me up! I'm such a 14 year old boy sometimes.

Glad you like it! I've seen some very cute patterns on those on some ladies that I've seen NIP-ing.

I love mine too! Although mine is the 'bebe au lait' brand tag, but they are the same exact thing.

Ok - so I have a question about them - does it at all bother you that when someone sees those they KNOW what you're doing? I am still somewhat nervous about NIP but I will do it. I just try to do it in a way that I think most people won't realize what I'm doing. I'm scared that getting one of these would make me more nervous because I will know that everyone who looks at me will know I'm nursing! Stupid, I know!

Sweetie, you'd be surprised how oblivious people are! Unless it's a women who nursed, or has friends who do they don't seem to have a clue! They think the baby's sleeping or something. Once you get comfortable and you're real non-chalant about it you just sit and talk or eat or whatever like normal and stangers don't know what's going on under the cover! I swear!!! I nursed in the car for the first week or so, and then one day it was really hot and I was starving, so I nursed her in a restaurant for the first time. I was in the kind of mood I didn't care if people did know what I was doing, and it was that day I realized if I didn't act weird about it no one had any reason to even notice!

I heard that Bebe au lait and Hooter Hider are the same thing, but that they wanted to market it under another name as well (I guess for people who don't like the term hooter hider :-)

you know what thats how I kinda feel/ I dont know if its just me, but I NIP better without it and WAAAY more descretly. I often have Zach in the sling when I am so everything is covered anyways. But when I put my "cover" on I feel I am shouting to the world I AM GOING TO NURSE EVERYONE LOOK, without it I just do it and feel no one notices. !! but thats just me.

^ yep, they are the same thing, they just have different brand tags on them.

Natalie, I have to say, no-one besides people at a family thing have noticed mine. I used it in restaurants and no-one even looked our way.

I just bought one but haven't used it yet. My issue has never been whether people know I'm nursing, its that I can't get him latched without being able to see what I'm doing and using both hands, which a blanket or some other cover doesn't facilitate. How do you get your baby latched on without showing the world your boob? I think this thing will fix that problem for me since I can see what I'm doing while remaining covered.

If I had one of these, Id have no problem NIP. Actually today I BF Kaleb for the first time in front of someone, the nurse while he was getting his shots! Im slowly getting into the hand of it, and realised Kaleb can latch on without my help, only cause hes a hungry piggley and roots until he finds it lol It takes practice!

But again, lack of things in this reagion, Id never find one lol
