I have been reading about many parents who are choosing not to vaccinate for various reasons....... I was curious, are you going to vaccinate your baby, wait to vaccinate or not at all and why? I'd love any articles on this too if you could share!

We vaccinate. We do it because we want to. I have never even thought about not doing it. I will be curious to read what others put also. Plus, it will make it easier to get them enrolled into school. Not that it wont be impossible if they were not vaccinated, just easier.

We delay and selectively vax on a case by case basis. Adrian will get most of the vaxes. I feel that is right for him. Fritz is not vaxed yet and won't be for a long time because he has really bad allergies. Cameron will be getting the tetanus shot around his 7th birthday. That'll be his first vaccine. Ani hasn't had any since she reacted to her 4 month shots.

we delay and selectively vax. DD1 reacted very badly to her shots. DD2 we delayed till after age one and did them one by one. She now has everything but chixpox vac, which she will only get if she makes it till 12 without getting the pox. DS1 has yet to receive any shots and will get just a few after age 2.. we may even hold off until age 4. DS2 we will most likely do the same as we are doing with ds1. Given our family history of allergies, autism and ADD, DH and I, as well as our pediatrician agree that delaying and selectively vaxing is best for our family.

I plan on vaccinating. My son has all his vaccines that he is supposed to have so far and we never had a problem with them. If Alyssa starts having any problems after receiving a vaccine I will delay the rest.

Thus far, no vaccines. I may get her various ones later down the road but as of right now I'm only telling her pedi we're delaying to get her off my back. People don't like it when you don't follow the norm, so I throw them that bone however insignificant it may be. I want more time to look into the ones I'm unsure or iffy about before I stick it in her body.

No vaccines for us. If any, they will be delayed and selective.

Ive done a LOT of research on this and long story short
what we chose:
not to vaccinate
why:
using inormation posted by the CDC (even though its intended to make you WANT to vaccinate) I feel there are more risks of reaction to a vaccine then 1)catching the disease and having an adverse reaction the disease. Vaccines also aren't proven to really even work. They weaken the immune system. If you are interested I can pm you the long email I sent my husband with my research results to help him make the decision with me. after reading that info (from the CDC) even he (being pro-vax) says no way does he want to vaccinate. Its all about how you interpret the information. for example the CDC says Polio can be deadly! and you think, DEADLY?! yikes! better get that vaccination! but if you read all of the CDC's information on Polio, you might not feel so inclined to vaccinate.
if you DO get polio, you only have a 5-10% chance of having symptoms. then if you DO get symptoms you only have a 4-8% chance of getting MILD symptoms. then if you are in that 4-8% of having symptoms only 1-5% get viral menengitis. then if you are in that 1-5% only .1 to 2% of THOSE people wll get ACUTE paralysis (which the majority of the time wears off) and you have to remember these statistics include people who are malnourished and dont seek treatment. I feel its more likely my child would die from the vaccine then even catch polio in the first place. The polio vaccine also contains monkey kidney tissue (they have a scientific term for it though) and that is linked to causing luekemia (cancer), which is much more common then polio. I dont want to increase the risk for luekemia.
also a lot of vaccines wear off, and most adults dont go and get boosters. people say the disease isnt arond anymore because people were vaxxed or it - maybe - but if thats true then why arent adults who are no longer immune from the vaccine not passing it around to eachother and causing an epidemic among adults?
Remember you are injecting things like aborted fetal tissue, formaldahyde, mouse brain, bovine syrum, chick embryotic fluid. no wonder autoimmune disorders are so prevalent - we dont even know what we are supposed to be!
let me know if you want me to pm all my info. I dont think there is a right or wrong choice but I think you should educate before you vaccinate. know the risks of vaccines worth the risk of diseases and decide which YOU feel has less risk. because if something happens, you have to live with that choice and be able to say, even though something happened, I still feel I made the best choice. I didn educate before vaccinated joey and I DONT feel like I made the best choice and I deal with a lot of guilt over it. You cold say "well you didnt know better" not being educated doesnt take the guilt away. I feel guilty that I didnt educate because I knew there was another "side" to the vaccine thing and I disreguarded it. its not like I thought i didnt have a choice, I just didnt educate myself on what my choices were and what those choices meant.
I feel my choice is the less risky of options to the point that if my child did get sick from a disease I would not feel guilty and would still feel like they were less likely to get the disease then get sick from the vaccine, so even though it happened i stll choose what I felt was less risky. you might feel vaccinating is less risky though. im glad you are educating yoursel first so you can feel good about your decisions
