i realized my son hates bottles!! So last night i mixed some cereal with EBM and fed it to him with a spoon and he loved it. He did so good. The last week i have noticed him having control of his tongue and sticking it and and such. So i called his ped and she said to give it a try. I only gave him about 5 or 6 bites but he loved it!!! So now that i know he is not fond of bottles i am hopeing to go striaght to sippy cups as soon as he can use them!! Of course i will still be nursing though!

I'm glad you got that figured out. I'm having a hard time with bottles with rice cereal myself. Little stinker! *LOL*

Glad he took it from the spoon. My DD would never take a bottle and went straight to sippy cups too.

WOW! I'm impressed! I can't wait to talk to the pedi about cereal when we go in for our 4 mth well baby exam. I'm ready for the kids to try it out!

Cereal in bottles? I just saw this on another thread too about how much is our LO eating.. that's the first I've ever heard of anything like that.. what exactly is it?

It's rice cereal.. I think I bought the Gerber brand. It's supposed to be the first "solids" your baby gets between 4-6 months. Landyn was eating 6 oz every 3 hours and still wanting more, so our ped said to start him early by putting it in his bottle and mixing with formula to fill him up. You're supposed to give 1 tsp of cereal per ounce of formula.
