They aren't offering it at our office, but I was planning on refusing it anyway.

Ava got this- she LOVED it, LOL! The Ped said its about 4 years new. Its for the bug that gives them the severe vomitting/diarrhea and causes dehydration which ends babies up in the hossy for fluids all the time. Its HIGHLY contagious and can be picked up anywhere. The vaccine works really well at preventing this.

I think I remember MaKenna getting this too... MaKayla loved it.. The nurse said she doesn't think she has ever seen a baby suck it down so fast.. If only all vaccines were that easy...

It wasn't around when Rylie was a baby, but if it's offered next week we will definitely be getting it.

Kylie was barely too old when they started offering it here...but I will definitely be getting it for Mason. Kylie had the same bout of the rotavirus 3 times shortly before Mason was born. In fact, its what she was sick with when I went in to have Mason. Its awful!!!!

Caleb got it. They didn't offer it here when Seth was a baby.

I think that's what made Caleb so cranky after his shots. The doctor said it can give some babies tummy problems for a couple of days.

See, just one more thing Alonzo and MaKayla have in common. The nurse laughed at him because he sucked on the little dispenser as if it was the best thing he'd ever tasted.

Nick got it. Our doctor said that one of her kids got the virus at 4 months and it was 2 weeks of hell (both for her and the baby). Plus, she said that babies can die from the severe dehydration this causes - she has had one baby die from this in 10 years of practice.

Our peds office doesn't offer it because the vaccine has been on and off the market a couple times because it caused some babies had intussusception (bowel collapse) and had to have surgery. Might just want to ask your doctor about it.
