For the past week, we have been able to smell Nic's urine through his diaper. It's a pretty strong pee smell. He pee's what seems like 100 times a day, he always has heavy diapers and we change them once- if not twice an hour.

Is this normal? I thought babies urine doesnt have an odor?

I've always been able to tell when Nick has peed just by the smell, so I think it's completely normal. And our daycare provider said that she's never had a kid that has peed as much as Nick...but at least we know that he's well hydrated, LOL!

I will say that the smell is more noticeable in the Kirkland brand diapers than the Pampers or Huggies.

I can smell Julian's pee through his diaper too. No worries, it's normal. I think you only have to be worried if he isn't peeing enough.
