What flow nipple is your LO using? Luke is still a slow flow but the Gerber bottles we are using has a medium flow. Says four months & up. But, I don't want him to tire easily now that's he's taking almost five ounces! I'm going to try one later but I'm curious to see what others are doing.
Andrew never took well to the fast flow nipples. He was a slow flow all the way to the end.

Isabella seems just fine with slow so I'm not going to change them on her, at least not yet.

I tried the medium flow. He did okay. But he's not ready. I thought it would make it easier for him but it was a little too fast. Thanks ladies.

Slow flow here as well. I don't want Isabel to get used to the quickness of a faster flow nipple and then decide to be lazy and not want to breastfeed.

We use platex nipples. Arianna uses a medium flow and serenity uses a fast flow during the day, but a medium flow at night (or whenever she is really sleepy). Since they were preemies they don't suck real hard so the higher flow is easier for them and keeps them from tiring out too quickly.

I use the ones that came with the Evenflo glass bottles, they don't seem too fast or to slow for him.

We had tried the pigeon nipples in the hospital per craniofacial recommendations. Luke's oxygen sats were dropping during feeds at first. Also because of his small chin & high palate, they thought a faster flow would do better.... hence the pigeon nipple. But, it was way too fast & nursing used a slow flow. It takes Luke awhile to eat & I thoought it would help. Maybe in a few more weeks.

Gavin is on the stage 2 from Avent... he was sucking so hard and getting too frustrated at the 1s and he is doing great on the 2s!
