No. We don't have anywhere to go since my parents are just an hour away and we're not going to see my MIL in Ireland. We drove to Williamsburg Saturday (2 1/2 trip became a 4 hour trip thanks to traffic on 95). We're going to VA Beach in February probably (yes, we are weird people who like the beach in the middle of winter).

For Thanksgiving we'll go 20 minutes to my mom's. We'll go an hour south to ILs on Christmas Eve and then an hour and a half north to my Grandma's on Christmas Day.

I hear ya Heather! I'm dreading the drive to nags head tomorrow--we're taking some back roads..but we'll still end up on 664 and 64 at some point. We make day trips to the prime outlets in williamsburg all the time! It's 45 minutes from here.

We are going to Pittsburgh (about 5 hours one way) in Oct and for Thanksgiving. At Christmas we stay here but I think I'm going to go visit my brother in Syracuse NY (another 5 hour trip) around the hoidays to see my neice and nephew and at Easter we will drive to Florida.
My kids better learn how to travel because we don't have any family around here.

I'm not sure. If we go to Ohio (8 hrs) we'll go the beginning of December or January more than likely and then at some point we need to drive about an hour to the Jersey shore so my Grandmother can meet Lilly.

Just around town, like the mile to my parents house, and back home. We traveled to St. Louis for Brinlee's first Christmas, and I will tell you that I will NEVER travel again for Christmas. It's such a pain in the rear end.

I agree...I think its important for the kids to spend Christmas morning at home so we will always be home Christmas morning and then around 11 or so we head to my aunts for brunch and Christmas with the rest of the family.

Good Luck with that, theres only one way in and one way out, we used to live about 30 mins from nags head and during peak season thurs-sun we NEVER went home b/c the traffic on 168 was HORRIBLE!

As for traveling, we travel all the time, Sumere has already done 1300 miles in a week, (that wasnt by choice... but still she did it and did pretty well for being colicky)
Since we do travel often we started both kids off traveling from a young age so they become used to it. as for the holidays i dont think we'll be doing any traveling this year, not sure though we may spend thanksgiving in Baltimore with some of my family!

Not during Christmas - all our family lives close by - but we are going to the PA ren faire in the fall which is about three hours away. We go with a group of friends and this year we have three babies and one toddler in tow! Three strollers, two pack and plays, four car seats, luggage and six adults - we're going to have to take two cars !
