I bought one of these at Babies R us this last weekend and let me tell you!!! if you feel any sort of discomfort in your back or hips..... you need this!!
I put it on and wore it around the store took it off and felt like i was going to just fall over... it was amazing and took all the pressure off.
I just bought one of those this past weekend! Lol! My midwife reccomended it because I have been having pain in my lower abdomen from strained round ligaments.
Your right; its amazing. Totally makes walking not such a chore. Only thing I hate is that it's hot and it doesn't breathe very well so I end up SO sweaty where the straps are. But its such a small price to pay for alleviating the pain.
I'm going to get one tonight. I've been thinking about it because I'm having some serious lower back issues, and because Jack is so low I feel like I need to support my tummy more. It's very uncomfortable.
I hope it helps me! Thanks!

My doctor suggested that I get fitted for one of these at the local surgical appliance store. At the time, I couldn't stand to have anything touching my belly. Being on bedrest, my back muscles have really suffered. I can only stand to be on my feet a few minutes at a time. I think I could really benefit from something like this.
My question is, are they uncomfortable when sitting down?
I have one too! I wore it last time I was pregnant when I worked at a grocery store and was on my feet all day. It saved me!!! It is still comfy sitting down, though it makes you sit up straighter because it is harder to bend. And if i remember right, it comes in small, med, large.
i'm sure it would fit too. they are for pregos, so they should accommodate a growing belly. They are mostly velcro and you can adjust them so it fits you exactly how you want it.
ETA: You're right, Tarrah, they ARE sexy! Especially if you're wearing what the model is wearing in the pic. I'm going to buy one and wear the same thing for Brian one night! Maybe I'll pair mine with some fishnets instead! Spice it up a little!

I wouldn't even know where to BUY a leotard these days.
I wear it over clothes but thats cause i am at home. i dont know if i would wear it on bare skin, it would prolly itch. there is a different less supportive looking model that might look better
I tend to wear a maternity tank top under my t-shirts and mat shirts anyhow...I'd just wear it over that but under the shirt. Won't be a problem in the cooler months either...more layers!!
I had to buy one at 12 weeks, but didn't start wearing it until 18 weeks. I sit for the large majority of the day and I hated to wear it, it dug into my ribs and my hips. I ended up wearing it over a tank top because the straps and elastic bothered me. Once I started having contractions, I stopped wearing it because it almost made the contractions feel worse.
