<div align="center">Shana (mommablogger) would like everyone to welcome her BABY BOY
Name: Zachary William
Born: February 29, 2008
Weight: X lbs X oz
Length: XX inches
Time: 2:40 PM

I went in for my induction at 7:30 am on Friday February 29th. I had to wait for the pharmacy to send up my penicillin since I had tested positive for group b strep. They went ahead and got my IV started though, with some saline, and then got the penicillin going once it arrived. I got the pitocin around 9 am, and was about 1 cm dilated already. The dr. stripped my membranes, which I'd never had done, and she didn't warn me, so that was a little wierd. It didn't exactly feel the best, although it wasn't the most painful thing either.
Right around lunchtime, I was just shy of 3 cm, and they decided to start my epidural. That was about 11:30 or 12, I can't remember exactly. By about a little after 2 pm, the dr. came and checked me again, and said I was just shy of 10 cm. She told me she was going to go get her things ready for the delivery, and scrub up and all that. She started prepping the cord blood kit and the table and everything. I don't think she had quite enough time to look through all the cord blood stuff though, because while she was trying to figure out the kit (they're all different apparently), I felt the need to push. So I told her (and of course I hear the words no woman who wants to push wants to hear, which was "don't push"). But she let me start pushing with the next contraction, and after about 3 contractions and 3 or 4 pushes, Zach was out at 2:40 pm. They said it was a precipitous delivery, meaning it went a little too fast, and that he had some fluid left in his lungs because it wasn't squeezed out. They said it would be absorbed into his body though, and that it wasn't anything bad.
I didn't have any tearing this time, which is nice. The recovery is far quicker, and I need a lot less painkillers afterwards.
Zachary is nursing great, sleeping great, and is so far a very good baby. I'm sure that will change soon enough It usually does. The first few days are always the easiest, until they really start getting hungry with that first growth spurt.
So all in all, everything went very well, and pretty quick. We're all doing well, and I'm getting better from having the flu right before delivery too. I still have a little cough, but it's hardly anything compared to what I had before.
I can't think of anything else to share, I think that pretty much sums it all up.</div>

<div align="center">Gracie (Gray Sea) would like everyone to welcome her BABY GIRL
Name: Avelina
Born: March 1, 2008
Weight: 6 lbs 4 oz
Length: 18.5 inches
Time: 12:31 AM
Gestation: 36 Weeks 2 Days

So on Thursday Feb 21, I went to L&D because I had been having pretty strong and consistent contractions. The nurse at the hospital checked my cervix, and said I was dilated 3cm. She called my Dr, and he ordered for them to stop the labor. (I was 35wks) So I got three doses of Terbutaline back to back, couple hours later, got sent home. I didn't contract the rest of the night, or all day Friday. That Friday I received my last dose of P17 shots, but I continued to take my Procardia per my doctor's order. He told me to stop come next Thurs (Feb 28) So all weekend I contracted, but not as much as before I got my last dose of shots. The baby totally dropped over the weekend. And whenever I got up to use the restroom I could feel her little head way down into my pelvic region. And I couldn't even walk because it was painful to do so. And I couldn't sleep. Contractions started up again Monday, and I pretty much didn't sleep all week long. By Thurs, I was ready to be shot down. The contractions were coming on strong. And I even went to my Peri to see if they'd give me a shot or two of Terb but they said no. So I went whining to my OB, and he said that if I wanted the shots, to go to the L&D...but I didn't wanna go YET again...so I just went home. But at least I hadn't changed in my cervical dilation. So Finally on Thurs, I took my last dose at midnight, and just suffered on through. Fri morning (Feb 29) I was really frustrated, annoyed, kept crying. But the pain wasn't too strong. IT was just THERE. Lingering. The baby dropped even more...and by noon, I started having lots of blood on my toilet paper and some on the toilet water. I called my OB and his nurse said to go to the hospital. Skeptical, off I went. I was telling my friend, that if they sent me home...I was just gonna be like HECK NO! I'm staying! So we got to the hospital. Contractions were intensifying, but still not painful. I got checked, and I was almost dilated 4cm. The nurse called the dr, the Dr said to admit me. She came back with a smile on her face and told me YOU'RE HAVING A BABY TODAY So what did I do?! I frigging started crying! I wasn't ready for her to be born, even though I kept cursing for something to stop or change...lol...so she asked if I wanted an epidural. And I was still very VERY undecided so I told her I didn't know. She told me that I needed to make up my mind soon because the Dr was at home half an hour away...so my friend told me to go for it. I was already miserable for an entire week, to just give myself a break. My hubby even said the same thing. But I didn't want one because I was all for natural births...but then I gave in. So I said ok to the nurse. Heh, 15 mins later, the dr shows up. And I was like IM SO NOT READY FOR YOU, THEY SAID HALF HOUR But he ignored me...I guess he used to the pregnant women in labor talking...I was mostly afraid of getting one, which is why I kept refusing it all along...but they prepped me up. And told me not to move. The nurse stood in front of me, held my hands as tight as she could. AND BAM...they start the epidural. It hurt when he put in the needle, but after that...it was nothing really. It hurt much much more getting the IV in my hand done...But I did squeeze the nurse's butt...lol...I apologized to her, and she said she's had worse...lol...Not long after, the med kicked in...and I totally went to sleep. At around 3, they checked me again, and I was barely 4cm almost 5. It went like that all day. My OB refused to have my water broken because he was doing a delivery at another hosp and he wanted to delivery mine too. (otherwise I would of had a leap year baby, but the mommy giving birth wouldn't hurry up...so she took up my doc most of the day)At around 7 the right side of my body started losing the drug effect, so the nurse called the anasteciologist again, and he dosed me up real good. But for some reason, my right side wouldn't numb. So it was totally weird feeling pain only half side...It was eerie. The baby was doing great all along. She was kicking, moving...I was wondering if she even knew she was in the process of being born! So, my nurse put me on the right side...(laid me) and somehow that worked. She then got a call from my OB to get my water broken. She broke it, and I was up to 7cm. Then I stalled again. Now it was close to 11, and I was barely 8cm. So she kept me on my side, and put my legs up by my butt and with that...by midnight, I had the URGE to push. So, they called my OB who was now finally free...and they started me pushing. By midnight, my OB was there and by 12:31 am March 1...Avelina was born. Vaginally. She weighed 6lbs 4 oz, and was 18.5 in long! She cried for a second, but now that I have had her home for an entire week, I've come to know that she is a mellow girl. Doesn't really fuss, nor cry. Anyhoot...They didn't take her to the NICU but she went to the nursery to get cleaned up. She came back with a clean bill of health!! I delivered the placenta, and then...LOW AND BEHOLD...I realized the my OB was stitching me up!! Apparently I tore a little. oh my After that...I was taken off of the Epi, and was asked to use the restroom. I KNEW I had to pee, but pee never came out. So I got put on a catheter. And it didn't get removed until Sat evening. I was numb all the way till then. It was annoying. But it was nice having that luxury of not getting up to pee. LOL...I finally peed on my own Sat night, and I took a nice long hot shower. I didn't really sleep much Right after Avelina's birth. Nurses kept coming in and out of the room...to do this or that. Even though they took the baby to the nursery so I could rest...And on Sat evening it was the same thing. So, I didn't really rest while there...And I still haven't slept much...But I have a schedule for Avelina now...and a couple of hours of sleep at a time really do make a difference than none at all. My 5 yr old is being very helpful, and she lets me nap. I worry about her, but she sits on the couch so she can make me at ease while I nap. She's so considerate. She ADORES her baby sister, and so far...I haven't noticed nor felt any pangs of jealousy towards the baby from Caliah. It's amazing.I'm no longer on bed rest. And I don't miss it! But I do miss having the baby in my tummy, and it is crazy thinking that I should STILL be pregnant! MY due date isn't until Mar 27!! But all is good. And little by little I get more energy. And I've even started doing mild house chores. I am starting to take my daughter to school as of tomorrow! And I'm excited!I'm healing up very well. I still ache where I got my epi and it makes me legs wobbly still, but I don't know if that's normal. And I do get tired easily if I go to the store...but I haven't taken any meds for 2 days now! I'm very proud of myself. My healthy baby. And most of all, my supportive hubby. Who knows how it would have all turned out if he wasn't around to do ALL that he did to keep us going. And also, being here moaning and whining...Wow, seems so long ago. And here I am now.</div>

Friday night at like 11 Dh and I decided to DTD and dont yah know half hour later started having contractions. Welp they kept coming and coming. So at 3:30 in the morning I went to L&amp;D. I was having them 2 minutes apart and was 4 cm so they admitted me. Well I just took it easy and the contractions werent doing anything and started just turning into cramps. Well at 10:00 Dr checked and she is like I think this is false labor and said we can do the pitocin. So they hooked me up to it and at 10:30 started getting nasty contractions. My nurse was like go walk for 15 min or so. Well did the walk to halls thing and barely made it back because I was in PAIN! I was like need my epi. Went into the bathroom cause I felt like I had to poo. Well I did and walking back to my bed I was yelling at the nurse that I wanted my epi. She helped me crawl in bed cause I was in pain and she wanted to check me but when she started to she was like the head is coming. So she is screaming for the Dr and mean while I am cusssing at the nurse to get me some medicine. Then she was like hun your pushing this baby out in 2 pushes.HAHA, well I did. AND IT HURT LIKE HELL!!!! Not even 5 minutes of pushing.I am so proud to say that I did a unmedicated birth. I probably wont do it again but it was an easier recovery and the baby was sooooo much more alert and active.ANYHOW, sum it up short version. Her name is Kaylee Grace. She weighed 6lbs 14 oz and was 18 1/2 inches. She is doing great. My baby got a 9-10 apgar. Such a proud mommy.Breastfeeding is going ok. She likes to play on it though and my one nipple is sore. <div align="center">Trinity (Koli Ava) would like everyone to welcome her BABY GIRL
Name: Aricka Ruth Lauren
Born: March 2, 2008
Weight: 6 lbs 10 oz
Length: 19 1/8 inches
Time: 6:04 AM
Gestation: 39 Weeks 6 Days

I went to bed late (around 11:30pm) on March 1st. By 1:30am I woke up feeling contractions. My husband was still awake downstairs having just finished watching an Avalanche hockey game.I spent some time walking back and forth between the kitchen and living room to see if the contractions were definitely labor. They were regular enough that I knew it was time. When I had gone into to my last midwife appointment 6 days earlier I was already dilated to 3cm and stretchy to 4cm. With my son my labor only lasted about 6 ˝ hours so I expected to have another quick and intense labor. I didn’t want to wait too long to go to the hospital this time around. We packed the rest of what we wanted to bring and I took a quick shower. My mother had come to stay with us for a month to help out with the baby so she stayed home with our son. We called our midwife and left for the hospital around 3am.Upon arrival I was sent to the early labor area to have my contractions monitored for awhile. The midwife from our practice that was on call was with another patient in labor so she didn’t visit me right away. By the time she came in to see me I had been having more contractions and started to feel amniotic fluid leaking out of me every so often. I was also having a fair amount of blood tinged mucus coming out. The midwife looked at the printout of my contractions and said they seemed irregular and not too intense. I tried explaining to her that with my son my contractions never developed into a definite pattern and I doubted that would change with this labor. She checked me and found me still at 4cm and declared that I wasn’t leaking amniotic fluid, that it was just mucus. I knew it definitely was amniotic fluid. She then tried to tell me that I wasn’t in labor. She suggested that she break my bag of waters to get stronger contractions going. I told her that I would rather they break more fully on their own. She and my husband argued on this point for awhile. Basically she wanted to break them or have me sent home. I told her I was staying at the hospital. It was so annoying to lay on a bed between her and my husband arguing over the matter while I tried to shut them out during a couple of tough contractions. All I wanted was to be allowed to go to my hospital room where I could walk around and labor in peace. I didn’t need the midwife trying to go against my wishes or tell me I wasn’t in labor when I knew I was. It was starting to ruin my birth experience. Finally I was allowed to go to my room. They wanted to continue to monitor my contractions for awhile, but I was able to have it done “wirelessly” and could walk around. I walked through a lot of my contractions but soon discovered the rocking chair in my room was really helpful. Sometime after 5:30 am I went to the bathroom to pee and while sitting on the toilet started to feel like I had to push. I told the nurse who ran out to get the midwife. Ever since I got up to my room and started leaking a lot more fluid she decided I must indeed be in labor and became a lot nicer to deal with. I hopped back on the bed and when she checked me I was indeed at 10 cm. I had them (finally!) unhook the fetal monitoring equipment. After only getting a couple hours of restless sleep I had gone into labor feeling exhausted. But knowing I was complete and it was time to push my daughter out I felt a renewed sense of energy and purpose. I felt ready to go, like a warrior heading out to the battlefield. My husband stood on my left side and supported my leg and foot. My nurse stood on my right side and supported that leg and foot. Once the midwife had everything set up I felt a contraction come on but didn’t feel any need to push so I waited that one out just as a surfer lets a wave go by waiting to “catch” the right one. On the next contraction I felt the urge to push. The midwife made a comment about the baby having a lot of hair. When I looked down I could see the head starting to come out. It felt so good to hear everyone cheering me on telling me what an awesome job I was doing. When the third contraction came I began to push again, even as the contraction ended I still felt like pushing. Pushing felt so intense, although not as painful as my son’s birth. I paced myself and didn’t push too quickly and was able to avoid any tears. My daughter did leave a “skid mark” when her shoulder came out, but other than that I suffered no bruises.Aricka Ruth Lauren was born at 6:04am weighing 6 lbs 10oz and came out screaming. She was placed on my tummy and I held her there and gave her kisses while my husband cried a little and cut the cord. I then brought her to my breast to nurse a bit. I started to bleed a bit excessively and received a shot in my thigh to stem the flow some. The placenta came out about 10 minutes later. It was nice to have an hour or so just holding my daughter before she went off to the nursery. When she did go my husband went with her. During our hospital stay one of us always stayed with her. I had hoped to go home within a couple hours after the birth but the hospital wanted to keep her to do a couple standard tests which are done 24 hours after the birth. I didn’t like having to stay a night in the hospital but we were able to check out around 11am the following day.</div>

5AM Water Breaks
DH gets up and starts getting ready for work. I roll over and say " strange my undies have been wet all night. I wonder if I am leaking pee or if my water is leaking" So I stand up to use the bath room and change my undies. As soon as I stand up gush my water breaks. As I am waddling to the bathroom soaking the floors I say to DH. " Nope that was definatly not pee, that was my water"
6:45AM Get to the hospital
After waiting around so we could wake up DS and get him off to school without him being a groucho we finally make it to the hospital. They take me in around 7 and hook me up to the monitors were I kept trying to tell them I am not having contractions but there was no doubt that my water broke. They don't believe me so they leave me hooked up and finally decide to check and see if my water had indeed broke around 730. Yep no doubt she determined it really was my water and finally agreed to send me to a labor room.
8:30AM Starting Pitocin
Around 8:30 they decided to check me again and I was still at a 3 and I was starting to get a low fever so they decided to start me on pitocin and they put internal contraction monitors in and a fetal monitor on her head. They said they didn't want to check me but ever couple hours because they were afraid of infection since my water had broke.
9:45AM Epidural Time
By 9:45 the contractions were coming strong and I was begging for the Epi but my ***** of a dr. said I can't have one till they check me again in another hour to make sure I am making progress. So my sweetheart of a nurse found another dr. to lie and say he checked me so I could get the epidural. By 10 am I had the epidural and was feeling wonderful.
10:45AM I thought the epidural was wearing off
By 10:45 I told the nurse I thought the epidural was starting to wear off because the contractions were getting strong again. Not as bad as without the epi but they were defiantly once you had to take a min. and breath threw. So the Dr. decided it was time to check me again and he said " wow your already at a 10 and I can see her head" So what does the moron do? Steps out and tells the nurses to come get him after I have pushed for awhile. So the nurses set me up and wait on the next contraction. I start to push and they tell me to stop because the baby is coming. They get the dr. who takes his sweet time waiting on some shoe protectors so he don't get his shoes all dirty. In the meantime the babies heart rate has dropped below 70 and is staying there. So the nurses flip me on to my side but it's not helping and the dr. is still standing there waiting on his feet protectors. The nurse yells at the Dr. and says if you don't get this baby out now I am going to deliver it myself. So he finally comes over and tells me to push.
11:10AM SHe is here!
The second I start to push, plop out comes baby! I had made it very clear to the dr. that DH wanted to cut the cord but of course the ***** cut it himself and handed the baby off. I had also made it very clear I wanted her laid on my tummy before being handed off. He was the worst Dr. ever!!! Anyway she came out pink and fine. Nothing wrong with her. As soon as they gave her to me she latched on just perfect.</div>

<div align="center">Ashleigh (Shades of Grey) would like everyone to welcome her BABY BOY
Name: Greyson Merrick Hunter C.
Born: March 4, 2008
Weight: 7 lbs 7 oz
Length: 20 inches
Time: 1:34 PM
Gestation: 38 Weeks 3 Days

Greyson Merrick Hunter C. was born on March 4th at 1:34 PM and weighed in at 7lbs 7oz, 20 inches long. He is absolutely beautiful! I cant believe how much I love this little boy! He has his daddys pouty forehead and chin and my eyebrows, too soon to tell much else. Here is a summary of his birth story. I started getting contractions Monday afternoon that were uncomfortable and felt different than the ones Id had up till then. By 5pm they were about 10-15 minutes apart. By 8pm they were 4-7 minutes apart. My husband kept saying, lets go to the hospital. I wanted to make sure they didnt slow down or stop and preferred to labor at home as long as possible. It was midnight when I said okay, lets do this! It took until 130 to get to the hospital though. I was moving pretty slowly! I was dilated to 2or 3, dont quite remember, and 80% effaced. Greysons heart rate was low so I had to stay on the monitors the whole time and was restricted in what I could do. I so wanted to get in the tub but wasnt able to. I was handling the contractions pretty well despite my lack of sleep. I had only had about 6 hours Sunday night and was exhausted all day Monday. We decided to wait until it was a little more reasonable hour to call anyone, besides, they would just be waiting around when they got there. At 530am I was dilated to 5 and 100% effaced and he was really low. The nurse said she thought things would move pretty quickly from there so we called the family. By 7 am the contractions were right on top of each other and I decided to get the epidural. I was dilated to 7 and didnt feel like I had it in me anymore to go naturally, especially since the one thing I wanted, the tub, I wasnt able to do. At first I was disappointed with myself for giving up. I didnt want to be so restricted to the bed but it happened so I took the drugs. But shortly after it kicked in, I was able to finally rest and forgave myself. My family arrived and everyone hung out in the room for a while. It was nice to have them there, I didnt think I wanted everyone to be there but appreciated the company, now that I had the epidural. By 9 the contractions had slowed down so the dr broke my water. By 10, they hadnt picked up so she gave me piton at a 2 (I had feared piton for 9 months and at that point was very glad I had gotten the epidural). By 11, they upped it to 4. At noon, the Dr said to let to baby move down and at one she would be back and have me push.At about a quarter to one, I felt the urge to push. I told the nurse and hoped my Dr would be there quickly. By 1:20 she arrived. They let me breathe down (rather than push, but was similar. A hypnobirthing technique I liked). After about 3 contractions and about 18 hours of labor, Greyson was born and set on my chest. I couldnt believe how beautiful he was!</div>

When i woke up on monday i started cramping around 8am, i just thought i was just crampy it was normal by that night my arm had went all picky/numb so i went to the er for that but also told her about the cramping.. so she sent me up stairs, it was about 9pm. They checked me i was 2-3cm and 60%, nothing was showing on the montior at that time.. Mt doctor comes in at 10pm im 3cm and 90% so they kept me cause they didnt want me going back home since i lived to far and my babies come fast.. so they put me on some iv, since i bleed heavy about 12am he came back and i was still a 3 but fully effaced, so he broke my water.. either 1 or 2am on tuesday morning they had to give me some poticen to help oh it helped alright, they hurt so bad i was going to start begging for a c-section i was in SERVER PAIN. The doc and nurse werent happy cause my contraction would stop then come back and stop ect, witch was makeing me so mad.. so i sat up cause he just wasnt comeing down cause i had lots and lots of fluid witch wasnt helping, but once i sat up it came out takeing its time but we got there. so about 4am i was in pain, worse then sever so she checked me i was 5-6cm, my doctor came in cause i needed to push well i went from 5-6 all the was to 9-10cm in a matter of 5 to 10 mins.. with just a little cervixs left so he let me do little pushies. i pushed for about im going to say a good 15mins before he was born at 4:56am tuesday.. I wasnt planing on having a baby but all is good. This is my longest labor ever, it is all worth it no matter how bad the pain is. my b/p and plus were going all over the place, i had to have oxgen after every push cause i couldnt have control over anything i was doing, after he was born and way before he was born i had really bad shaking anyways.. I had to have some stiching, didnt have to but he said it will heal faster.</div>

Okay so as you all know my water started leaking at around 9:15 on Monday morning, well I was being me and going SUPER slow trying to wait out the whole thing, so that I could try to avoid being induced, and I waited until about 4:30 PM and still was having SUPER mild contractions every 8-10 minutes and that is it. UGH! I was SO disappointed because I knew it wasn't safe for me to stay at home any more and it just didn't look like I was going to get anywhere. So we made the decision to go to the hospital and see how they felt, I knew walking in the door that induction was inevitable. (TRIPLE UGH!) I got there at about 5:30pm, and was contracting every 5 minutes but still SUPER mild and I was 3 cm. WELL I thought OMG I have a chance................spoke too soon. The Dr came in and told me that if the baby was born after 2:30 AM that they would have to run all these blood tests on him and put him on antibiotics, just in case of infection...........since my water had broke at 9:15 in the morning. I was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bummed. I mean we talked about it and if I had of labored at the rate I was going, I would still end up on pit at 1:45 AM with no chance of having Pax before 2:30, so I agreed to allow them to give me the pit..........and I was SOOOOOOO sad, because I felt like allowing them to hook me up was signing me up for an epi. Well I labored on the pitocin (somewhere along the way during a contraction my water broke the rest of the way shooting water all across the entire bed LOL it was so loud my BFF heard it from across the room it was pretty funny!) until about 11PM fine, I was 7 CM and my entire body betrays me and locks up completely and I could not relax through my contractions at all, it was HORRIBLE, I made the decision to get the epi.............well the nurse leaves and comes back and says it's going to be 20 minutes, I was like WHAT I am contracting every minute and a half how the HECKY will I last another 20 minutes, I could barely think at all. I just asked her how fast could she get something for my IV LOL. So she went and got some stadol for in my IV, I am SO mad I let them do that but seriously in that moment I couldn't take it anymore. It helped to an extent, but I felt like I was high as a kite........not a great feeling. So finally at 11:30 I got my epi......but it only was working on one side LOL So I could still feel mostly everything on my right side, but about 15 minutes after I got my epi, I was 10 CM. Now mind you, at about 7:30 - 8 the Dr had come in and said he was going home and that he didn't see me delivering before 1:45 AM............LOL well my friend said, nope she will deliver before midnight and he said, bet you a quarter LOL. I was like GREAT, now the pressure is on, LOL. Well of course they called the Dr and wouldn't let me push because the baby was coming on his own and we needed to wait for the Dr to get there. Well he walks in after midnight of course after I had been waiting a while and I then have to wait until he was ready. When he walked in and my friend said I guess she won't deliver before midnight and he just smiled. It all happened so fast that not only was my DH in the delivery room so were 2 of my girlfriends LOL. When the Dr was finally ready I pushed 3 times and Paxton was born, and when I say pushed 3 times I don't mean 3 contractions I mean 3 back to back pushes and we were done. But before he came out they had to stop and cut the cord from around his neck since it was wrapped around twice. UGH! I was SO freaked out, DH cut the cord and blood squirted all over his face and I don't think I have ever seen him happier, it was cute, he had the biggest smile on his face walking around with cord blood spatter on his face LOL. It took a bit for Pax to start crying after having the stadol and the cord being around his neck but once he did it was amazing.Of course after he was born the Dr looked at my friend and said we can call it a bust since she totally would have delivered before midnight if I hadn't gone home LOL.He came out super dried out and the only time that has ever happened to one of my kids before is with Bradley because he was late. My guess is Paxton was supposed to already have come but the cord around his neck was preventing him from coming down. I mean Tru was born 4 days before her due date and still have vernix on her and here Pax is barely 2 days before his due date and completely dried out poor baby.</div>

Saturday morning I began to feel contractions. They were pretty close together - around 6-7 minutes. Decided around 1pm to call the doctor as I had been having 5min contractions since about 11:30am. They said to come to Labor and Delivery. When we got there, they checked my cervix and found that nothing had changed since Thursday. They told me to drink 2 huge containers of water and walk for 1 hour around the floor (without stopping.....they were nuts!) and then they would check me again. After an hour of torture, they checked me again and still no change. So, they sent me home. Sunday morning I got up and my contractions were still there, but they had slowed down a bit. Decided to go to all kinds of stores and WALK until this baby came!!! Around 1am Sunday morning contractions began again and they were STRONG! - 7 minutes apart. Around noon I called the doctor and asked if they would check me as I was in pain. They told me to just go to labor and delivery. Off we went to Labor and Delivery. They checked my cervix and I had changed from 3cm to 5cm! They admitted me. This is when the fun started. I stayed 5cm until about 5pm at night. At 5pm I was 6cm. Not overly good movement for hours of pain. The doctor told me she would be back to check me at 7pm and asked if I wanted to get an Epidural. I told her I would wait til she checked me. I wanted to know that I was making progress as sometimes an epidural can slow things down. So, as much pain as I was in, I waited. Well, at 8pm she still had not come back. I don't have any idea how I made it, but the doctor finally came in at 11pm. I was 6cm so I decided to get the epidural. Within 1 minute of having it done my blood pressure dropped to about 60/40. They gave me epinephrine and my heart rate came back up. They started me on Pitocin a short time after that to speed up and strengthen the contractions. It did not work for the longest time and all I could think was I was going to have to have a C-section. It finally started working!!! PAIN!!!!! Around 4am I was finally fully dialated. Thank God. And so began the pushing. By 5am she still had not come out anymore. This was the second time I got nervous and was pretty certain I was having a c section. They were monitoring the baby a ton. I was DETERMINED for her to come out quick. She finally was born at 5:24am. She was 8lbs 5oz and 21 inches long. I hemorrhaged in the process of giving birth and had a major tear. Thankfully both mommy and baby are now great!</div>

Born: March 5, 2008

After my disappointing appointment on Monday I admitted defeat and surrendered to the fact that I would be pregnant for at least two more weeks. Tuesday morning comes and I notice Lily is sick, so I didn't let her go to school. I was feeling horrid as well. So I put on the TV and let the kids play while I just laid around. I just couldn't seem to get anything done. Around 1 pm I started to feel the dreaded contractions. I just thought to myself &quot;these aren't real&quot; So I got into the bath and they just got worse so I got out and walked around a bit and that didn't do any good. It just made me feel really bad. I called Jonathan and told him what was happening. It was about 3:30 by now. He was 2 hours away and by the way i was sounding Jonathan insisted that he call his mom to come get me and the kids. By 4:15 we got the kids in the car and were on our way to meet Jonathan at his parents house. Let me tell you it was a long 30 min drive there. I was debating if Jonathan and I should go to the hospital or not. As I have had lots and I mean lots of experience with false labor. When we get to Jonathan's parents house he was waiting for us. I tell Jonathan to eat something first and then we would go. I didn't want to eat as I can't eat when I'm anxious. We get to the hospital about 6pm and I'm at 5 cm. Yeah as I was only 1.5 cm just the day before. I ask for an epidural right away. I get to my room and get my drugs. Baby is still up really high. Dr doesn't want to break my water as major complications can arise. So we wait and wait and wait. My labor starts to stall. finally I get some pitocin as I'm not dilating anymore. Hours go on my Dr. is getting concerned that we may have to resort to a C section. NOOOOOOOO!!!!!! So we wait it out alittle longer. By now it is 10 ish Wednesday morning and I'm still 5 cm. that is 20 hours after the start of my labor. I'm exhausted because all night my blood pressure cuff was setting off an alarm every 15 mins all night. So no sleep for me. So I tell Jonathan to go and get some breakfast. As soon as the door closed after him I felt a hard hit and GUSH!!!!!! My water had broken. I yell for Jonathan to come back but he didn't hear me. I called for the nurses and they rush in fearful that the cord would come out first and cut off the babies blood supply. That wasn't the case so everyone relaxed. I finally dialated to a 7 and hoped Jonathan would come back in time as I was feeling lots of pressure. He got back and told him what had happend. He was disappointed and wanted to be there when all the excitement was going on. He had just enough time to eat before I was ready to push. About fifteen to twenty mintues later Benjamin came out. He weighed 8lbs 1oz, and 20.5 inches long. He is a very good baby and rarely cries, until they circumized him. He didn't like that. So after a 21 hour labor and three and a half days in the hospital we are finally home.</div>

Name: Blaiden
Born: March 5, 2008
Weight: 6 lbs 9 oz

I was scheduled to be at the hospital at 5am March 5, 2008 for a scheduled c-section. When DH and I arrived at the hospital, they hooked me up on IV, and did the usually routine vital signs. It took the nurses 6 times before they could get my IV started. I still have bruises all over my arms. My veins kept rolling, and then they blew 2 of my veins. All of my family & Dh's family got to the hospital around 6 or 6:30am. They all came in the room to see me before I went in for my c-section. Dh brought Blaise in to see me before I went in. He really didn't understand what was going on. Plus he was getting sick, runny nose, coughing, and sore throat. Nurse wheeled me in the OR at 7am. As soon as I got in the OR, I got my spinal. I could feel my legs going numb as they was doing the spinal. Within a couple minutes I couldn't feel anything from my waist down. They laied me down, draped everything, and put my cathered in, then went to get DH to come in. At 7:19am, I had a healthy baby boy, weighing 6 lb 9 oz. 18 in. long. He cried as soon as they pulled his head out. They took him to get cleaned up, and they let DH watch as they cleaned him up. Then DH brought him to me, I got to hold Blaiden as they was stitching me up. My nurse was wonderful. She took lots of pictures of me, Dh and the baby. Then it was time for Blaiden to go to the nursery. Dh got to take him to the nursery. After they got finished stitching me up, they wheeled me to recovery. Dh came in to see me in recovery. Then the nurse brought Blaiden in for me to see. She left him with me for 20 minutes! I was in recovery for 2 hours, just so they could monitor me, and make sure I was doing OK. I got in my regular room at 11;30. I was doing really good until they came in and hooked me up on pitocin to help my uterus contract. I started hurting really bad. I was having very painful contractions. I told Dh this is crazy, I have already had my baby, but they are making me have contractions. They gave me something for pain, but it wasn't helping at all. I was in major pain. This went on for hours. Every hour the nurse was coming in to massage/push on my stomach. About 7 or 8pm, I was almost in tears I was hurting so bad. And I was loosing lots of blood. They was having to change me every 30 minutes because I was bleeding so bad. Finally one of the nurses said I think we need to call your Dr because you shouldn't be loosing this much blood. The nurse decided to push really hard on my stomach to see if I would pass some blood clots. Well it hurt pretty bad, but once she started pushing pretty hard on my stomach, I passed several blood clots. My pain stopped as soon as I passed all the blood clots. Later that night I got 2 units of blood. But I was feeling fine once I passed the blood clots. The next day was my birthday! It was the worst birthday ever. I couldn't get out bed, because I still had my iv and catherder. I had lots of visitors. I did keep Blaiden in my room all day but at night I would send him back to the nursery. Blaise stayed with my in-laws. They couldn't bring him to see us because he was so sick. I was depressed because I couldn't see Blaise, and I was tired of being in that bed. I wanted to get up and walk around. I cried and cried. Finally Dh asked the nurse if he could put me in a wheelchair and roll me around. That made me feel so much better.Friday was a little better. The Dr came in asked how I felt. I told her I felt fine. She said well your blood work is showing different. My palates, and something else was really low. So they gave me another unit of blood. Then they took my iv out!!Saturday the Dr came in and told me I could go home! I was shocked! I felt good enough to go home but I didn't think they would let me. My MIL brought Blaise to the hospital so he could ride home with his new baby brother. He didn't like Blaiden at first when he walked in the hospital room, and I was holding a new baby. But once we got home, he done great. He likes to hold Blaiden, and he wants to fed him and change his diaper. I am so proud of my boys!Being home has been a lot of work, but it has been great. I have lots of help. Blaiden is a good baby. Dh has been sharing the duties of the late night feedings. I have a wonderful DH! He is such a good daddy.</div></div>

Wednesday I woke up about 4 am vomiting, upset stomach and contractions and swelling in my lower legs, hands and face. Went away, but I was up. DH stayed home from work, and I was able to reschedule my appointment for that day instead of the next. I continued having contractions but nothing regular, time able except tiny ones. The big ones were all over the place, not close together at all. Had a lot of pressure, cramping and back pain. When we got to the doc's office they were running really late for my appointment. I had several contractions in the waiting room, and a big one trying to walk to the exam room. The nurse was trying to talk to me through it about leaving the pee in a cup but I couldn't even stand up through it had to lean on the wall and breathe through it. Then another as soon as we got in the exam room, another when I got up on the table.. nurse took my blood pressure (which was good) then went to get doc. Doc found baby's heartrate, saw how I was doing and the contractions and asked how I felt about doing the c/s that day - Yep. Then sent me over to L&amp;D.When we got there I was hooked up to the monitors, having more contractions and more regularly than I thought, turns out I really was in labor. They placed an IV on the 4th try, got me prepped and then had me walk to the surgery suite. Got my spinal which gave me dry heaves but didn't vomit this time, put in the catheter, draped then DH was allowed in. MIL showed up to watch Will just in time, my mom wasn't able to get a flight fast enough and arrived Thursday morning. The spinal gave me extreme shakes this time more like little siezures so I was hoppin' and rocking around on the table, they gave me something else through the IV that made it less bad and they mostly stopped but I was very sleepy the rest of the time. Dh cut the cord when someone handed him scissors even though he hadn't planned on it, and video taped most of the birth - not the surgery, just us and then her after she came out. She came out yelling at the top of her lungs, not crying, very angry.Evelyn was born at 6:27 PM, 7 lb 4 oz, 19 inches long, 8 &amp; 9 apgars. They showed her to me, cleaned her up a little, we got to hold her a moment then DH went with to the nursery for her testing etc. I was against that but too doped to fight back much. They finished up with me and moved me on a hammoc like thing instead of a bed, back to the L&amp;D room which also is used as a recovery room. Didn't really hurt until they started mashing on my belly, YOWCH!! Some time later they brought Evelyn to me. She had her first little bath in my room, they tried to give her a bath in the nursery even though I'd made it clear I wanted to be there previously, glad I sent DH with and made sure he knew they weren't allowed to do that. So I got to see, and it woke her up good for nursing attempts.</div>

Name: Gabriel Neal
Born: March 5, 2008
Weight: 7 lbs 1 oz
Length: 20 inches

Gestation: 37 Weeks

I technically went into labor a week before I delivered, but they were able to stall it a bit at the hospital to give him another week to grow. On Monday, March 3, I went to my doc appt and found out Gabe would be around 7 lbs, 1 oz, so a vaginal birth was the route we would take. I had a difficult delivery with Christian due to his size (over 9 pounds), so hearing I would have a smaller baby was a relief. On Tuesday, March 4, I woke up feeling crampy, nauseated, and achy in my back. I knew it would be soon. My due date got moved and I was 37 weeks on that day. I went walking with Christian, and by the time I got home, my contractions were 3 minutes apart and getting painful. I called the family to start driving from Louisiana, and headed to the hospital. I was put in triage, set up on monitors and checked. I was at 3 cm, so they admitted me and got me started with my IV's, labs, etc. Contractions were managable, and I sat in the rocking chair for awhile to get Gabriel even lower than he was. At about 7 pm, I was dilated to a 4 and my water broke. I called for the epi after that, and got it pretty quickly. Felt good for awhile then started to feel the pain in my left side, right side was still numb. Called the epi doc back and he re-did the epi, putting it more center. I was in heaven, feeling no pain and progressing perfectly. Around 11 I was at 6 cm and feeling more intensity. My nurse checking me a little past midnight, on March 5, and I was at 7 cm. She said she expected me to deliver around 2, but I told her I would go very quickly now, as I did with Christian. She went to get the doc from the on-call room, and when she got back, I was at 10 cm and ready to push! All in a matter of a minute and a half! They set me up, and got me started with a practice push to see if I could do it with the epi. After the first push, the doc told the nurse to call in the nursery nurse and set up quickly. I said &quot;really? wow!&quot; Next contraction came, and I pushed with all my might. DH looked down and saw the head start to emerge. We were shocked! Last push, and at 12:20 am, Gabriel Neal made his appearance into the world. I had a small episiotomy, but other than that it was perfect and painless. I was so thankful. Gabriel was having a bit of trouble breathing, he was working too hard for his oxygen, so they took him and monitored him and gave oxygen. I wasn't able to see him for 6 or so hours, then they let me into the nursery to see my baby boy. He looked so tiny laying there, all I could do was cry. Around noon he was able to come into my room with me, but he had an IV port in him because of an infection and antibiotics they were giving. He nurses like a champ, and very rarely cries. Christian doesn't really know what to think of his little brother, but he's sweet to him and slowly getting used to him. I'm so happy with my little family, and couldn't love my sons more!</div>

hi there....i'm new to the march board, as my bub was originally due in feb. so i thought i would start posting here...here is my story
on the 5th of march, i was booked into hospital to be induced, a week after i was due. i got to hospital at 6.30am with my partner (now fiancee btw ), my mum and my nanna. after checking in and getting to the labour ward and getting ready, i had my ivf put in at 8.30 and had whatever it was called that started my contractions put through it. my doctor came in at about 9.30am to break my waters and do some sorta internal because apparently my cervix was in the wrong spot? i can't really remember. but i do remember it was the most painful thing i've ever experienced! he was trying to move my cervix and omg i cried and cried. this was when i first had the gas which helped by distracting me, but didn't do alot for the pain. they tried breaking my waters but nothing seemed to come out. they thought they were broken though. so i sat in bed (i wasn't allowed to move from bed unless i had to pee) for a few hours hooked up to monitors reading the baby's heart rate and my contractions. my contractions were all over the place, they were never regular which was really weird. the contractions started off okay, but by about lunch time they were too much to bare. they told me that the girl next to me was getting an epidural and that if i wanted one, i better say so now, because he wouldn't be back for a long time. i decided that the pain was only going to get worse, so i got it. by this stage my contractions were so bad that i was crying with each one. he put it in and it hurt so bad..it was the wierdest pain. but as soon as it kicked in i felt alot better and was able to rest. not long after i felt like i was peeing myself and i thought i was cause i couldn't feel anything. but it was actually my waters breaking. so they did another internal (alot better this time since i couldn't feel anything ) and i was 5cm dilated.
so we wait. every time the pain started coming back i got a top up....this went on until about 8.30 that night (12 hours later). the midwife said that if i needed to start pushing, do so, so i did. by this stage i was 10cms. because of the epidural i couldn't feel alot of pressure. for the next 3 hours, absolutely exhausted i pushed and pushed. i tried all sorts of positions but he just didn't want to come out. i asked for another top up but the midwife said she really didn't want to give me one because it would make the labour even longer. so for the last 2 hours of the labour i felt everything.
usually the midwives are quite capable of delivering the babies them selves but after 2 hours of pushing they called in my doctor at 10.30pm. i dunno why but i was just so happy when he got there, because i knew he'd get talon out for me. by this stage i was absolutely exhausted. i hadn't slept at all the night before because i was so anxious. and id been pushing, with no results, for the past too hours. and 2 women had come and gone with their babies in the room next to me so i was a little pee'd off haha. my doctor was very encouraging telling me to push and push. to my surprise i didn't curse once! haha. i kept saying "he's not coming, he's not coming" but eventually my doctor told me to reach down, and i did and felt the top of his head. he was still stuck so i saw my doctor grab these long handled scissors...andrew said my face went white haha. i said "what are you doing with those?" and he said "oh nothing"...then the next thing i know, he snipped me and talon's head came straight out. the cord was around his neck so andrew had to cut in then....and then with one more big push, the rest of his body came out.
so finally after 15 hours of long labour, talon william was born at 11.27pm.
they put him straight on my chest and i couldn't believe how cute he was. then the doctor noticed he wasn't crying. so only after 10seconds of holding him, they grabbed him off me and starting sucking all the gunk outta his mouth because he wasn't breathing. that didn't work so they did cpr on him and brought him back. because the labour was so long and stressful for him, he had some breathing problems. they said that he was fine and they were going to take him to an incubator thing just to be safe. BUT at this stage i didn't even know they had preformed cpr on him or that he'd stopped breathing. i just thought they were cleaning him up, they did a very good job at hiding it. when my nanna first told me, i was a little upset that i didn't know, but then i thought about it, and i'm glad i didn't have to see it because i would have been a wreck. anyways they took him away, and stitched me up and i had a shower. after i was feeling ok, they wheeled me to my room. i didn't even know where talon was, but i kept getting told he was okay, so my mum and nanna went home after a long day. finally a nurse came and got me and wheeled me to him.
he was the cutest thing i'd ever seen. he was wide eyed and breathing great. he was still in the incubator so i couldn't hold him. i couldn't even stand up at that stage. they called in the paediatrician and after having x-rays and stuff, she came to my room and told me that talon had air pockets under his lungs. so instead of his lungs being full sized, they were about a quarter of the size which was making it difficult for him to breath without help. she said that it was something his body would just fix itself, but they were going to send him to a specialized childrens hospital and hour away in the city. i burst into tears of course. i just wanted to be able to hold him. they told me that i couldn't go to the hospital with him which i still don't understand why? so i waited with him until about 5am in the morning until the ambulance came to take him.
after they took him, andrew went home for some sleep. i tried calling my mum, but she wasnt answering, so i left a sobbing msg on her answering machine so of course in the morning she called me crying and upset. i couldn't sleep but i drifted off to a light sleep a couple of times until about 7am when andrew and my mum and nanna came back in to see me. i kept bugging the nurses to ring the other hospital and find out how he was. eventually at 10am they came back to tell me that he was doing great and that i could go up there and they had a bed for me and andrew. so we went up there a few hours later (with me hobbling everywhere because i was still in so much pain). we stayed there a night with him, and he was able to come back to the other hospital where we stayed another 3 nights.
hes doing great now, but definitely a scare! </div>

Wed 3/5/089pm--Arrived at the hospital in Labor and Delivery for my induction. We got all checked in and I got changed. The nurse immediately had me pee in a cup and then drew my blood and started an IV of just fluids.10pm--I received my first dose of Cytotec. It was in the form of a pill that I just took with water. The nurse checked my cervix at this time and I was starting out at a good 1-2 cm dilated and 80% effaced. The Cyctotec was used to hopefully continue to soften and thin my cervix.10pm-2am--No action...just laid in bed and rested up. I felt nothing in the form of contractions at this point...I was pretty comfy just sitting in my bed watching TV and napping.
Thur 3/6/082am--I received my 2nd and final dose of Cytotec. The nurse checked my cervix again, and I was a good 2 cm and about 90% effaced and baby had dropped down A LOT more.
3:35am--Woke up with a pretty sharp pain running through my abdomen! I looked over at the monitors and it recorded a small, but readable contraction...Yay! lol At this point I was more crampy than have regular contractions....The crampiness continued on and off with irregular small contractions for about 2 1/2 hrs. Nothing major....still no need for any type of pain medicine.
6:05am--I was started on my Pitocin drip in my IV. The contractions were still pretty small, pain wise...and still pretty irregular. My Pitocin intake was turned up every 20-30 mins at this point.
6:30am--Turned up Pitocin.
7:00am--Turned up Pitocin. The nurses had switched shifts at
7am....I requested a friend of mine, who I knew was coming at that morning...Yay! She got to my room and checked me...I was dilated about 3-4 cm and almost fully thinned out....
7:15am--My doctor came in and checked me out, and then decided to go ahead and break my water to speed things a long a bit...This did NOT hurt at all...I was expecting this to be very painful, but it was not. It just felt really weird with the warm fluid.
7:30am--Pitocin was turned up to the final notch!!! Yikes! LOL I had still not had anything for pain...but by this point the contractions were starting to become for patterned at about 5 mins or so apart and a little stronger... I discussed with the nurse that I was going to have an Epi and she just told me to let her know when and she'd call the doc.
8:00am--Nurse came and checked my cervix. I was fully thinned out and 4 cm dilated. She told me that the dr was up in L&D giving some Epi's and if I wanted one, that would be a good time to ask for the order...so I did.
8:30am--Dr arrived to give me my Epidural...I was in some good pain at this time!! So I was definitely ready!! It took about 20-30 mins to get me prepped and the epi was done! Not painful at all like I had imagined it to be!!
9:00am--From my abdomen down to my toes was starting to feel number with each contraction...EXCEPT I noticed I had one spot on my right lower abdomen near my pelvic area where I was still feeling EVERY bit of the contraction!! It was very painful!! I told the nurse and she called for the Dr to come back in and try to fix it or replace it.
10:00am--After 2 more visits from the anastisologist (sp), He finally got my Epi working like it should!! Yay...no more painful contractions!! At this point the contractions were very close and very hard!! Probably about 2 mins apart. I was still at 4-4 1/2 cm when I was checked.
11:00am--I was feeling good...I barely knew when a contraction was coming...that EPI is the BOMB! LOL The nurse came in and checked my cervix, she said it was VERY low and soft, dilated to 5 cm. Everything was progressing well. My mom, dad, and sisters had decided to go down to the Cafe to eat lunch....
11:20-11:30am--I started to feel some pain again...kinda dull, but it was definitely there...so I thought I should have my nurse come in and check my Epi...I thought it needed more medicine...well she came in and checked my cervix first....and to my surprise, she said, OH GOSH , you're fully dilated and ready to push, I can see her head! HUH!!! WHOOOAA!! Jeremy was just getting ready to step out of the room so I caught him just in time and I started to cry my eyes out!! I was soo scared to PUSH!! LOL I had him call all my family and tell them to not go far that I was getting ready to push and they couldn't believe it either!!
11:50am--Dr had arrived and the room was all ready and set up to meet Ava so I began to push! I pushed for a good 40 mins with several small breaks in between with each contraction....I was really nervous and scared, but it was sooo not what I was expecting it to be like....I love Epidurals! I could feel some pain and pressure...but nothing major!
12:34pm--Ava Renee made her non-dramatic entrance into the world!! She came out sucking her hand!!! She even had a little tiny water blister on her hand from where she'd been sucking on it in my womb!! She's a doll-baby! I'm soo in love with her. My first thought after holding her and seeing her up close was like OH my gosh, you look just like Jacob (my oldest stepson)</div>

<div align="center">Sherri (sherri+3girlz=♥) would like everyone to welcome her BABY GIRL
Name: Mckynzie
Born: March 6, 2008
Weight: 7 lbs 9 oz
Length: 20 1/4 inches
Time: 11:46 AM
Gestation: 39 Weeks 5 Days

Today is the day McKynzie joined us! I went in the hospital at 6:00am. By 7:00 I was hooked up to the IV's and getting ready to start the Pitocin. At 7:35 the Pitocin drip was started. At 7:50am Dr Kraemer came in and broke my water. I was measuring 3-4cm and 80% efaced and at station -2. The contractions started coming not to long after that ( about 8:20 every 2-3 mins)and they were getting stronger and stronger. I was afraid i was going to miss the window to get my EPI, so at 9:30 I asked to get the Epi ready. The Nurse came in and informed me that i was Anemic and my platelet count was only 128 and she had to call to see if they would allow me to get an Epi.Turns out it was fine and the Epi was finished and the drip started at 10:30 am.By this time the contractions were coming VERY strong and i could almost not bear them. Then teh Epi kicked in and i was ready to go! So the nurse checked me and i was 90% effaced 5-6 cm and at station 1. So she said I better go call the dr adn get him over here, you are going to have this baby anytime. So about 11:20 i started to feel the baby's head trying to come out with out me pushing !! So the Dr got all ready and it was time for our baby girl to be born. 3 Contractions later baby McKynzie made her way into the world. A total of 4 hrs of labor!! It could not get any easier than that But then the dr was cleaning her up and she did not cry. they tried to stimulate her and spanked her feet and butt and still nothing. They ended up calling the NeoNatal Dr in to check her out. He said she was fine and that she did not need the Neo Natal. So off her went. we got to hold her and love on her before i was moved to my private room.Once in our room, McKynzie was laying in her crib when she spit up a little. then she turned Blue!!! The nurse took off with her ( turns out she took her ot the nursery ) The neo Natal Dr was called in AGAIN!! Turns out because McKynzie never cried at birth, she did not get the mucus and fluid out of her lungs and she started to choke when she tried to spit it up. They sucked her out and gave her a little oxygen and the Neo natal dr said she was fine.He said we would not have any more problems with her.Sure enough he was right. She has been fine every since. No more incidents and she is eating just fine and no more spit up either </div>

I had a dr's appt on Wednesday, March 5. I was still dilated to a 3cm and over 50% effaced. At this appt the dr. told me she knew that I was not really wanting to have an induction, but that she would be on vacation starting Tuesday the 11th. We could schedule an induction for Sunday or just wait. I asked her about stripping my membranes and that I'd get back with her the next morning about the Sunday induction. She went ahead and stripped my membranes. So now we were in the wait &amp; see time.We went to eat that evening at my uncles new restaurant and then to my parents house for a short visit. I was feeling some cramping but nothing much. We came home and put the girls in bed, then of course, I wasn't too far off of going to bed! After a couple hours of tossing and turning along with cramping, at 1:00pm I decided to go to the couch. From 1am until 3am, I still had the cramping along with some contractions. At 3, I decided that I wasn't going to work that day, just because I had not slept well and I really was thinking we were going to be getting a baby at some point. So I decdied to get online and surf the net along with redo my lesson plans for the rest of the week and next week. (we had 2 snow days on Tuesday and Wednesday, so I had to redo some things) The contractions started getting steadier. Shortly after 4 I started timing them. They were anywhere from 4-6 minutes apart. At 5 I decided to get in the shower and see how that made me feel. Still having contractions I finished getting ready. By this time, Dennis had figured out that we were going to the hospital. He showered and got ready. We called our parents to let them know and the babysitter. Around 7am we dropped the girls off at my parents, Dad was going to take Avery to school and Addison went to work with him. they would bring the girls up later after my mom's dr's appt.We arrived at the hospital about 7:45. We walked up to the L&amp;D floor, I told the nurse that my contractions were now between 3 and 5 mintues apart. They put me in a delivery room, hooked me up to the monitors gave me agown and all that fun stuff! My nurse ended up being one of my former (and future) student's mother. I was still dilated to 3 cm, but my contractions on monitor were 2 - 3 minutes apart. So they kept me.At 8:25 my water broke, as I was waiting on my dr. to come in and check me and possibly break my water. After this, the contractions became more intense and stronger. I had now gone to a 5 cm and almost 100% effaced. From 9am to 10am, I went from 5cm to 7 1/2 cm. We were waiting on the iv to finish the 1st bag of liquids before they could put the call in for my epidural. (I was really hurting and wanting it!!) Finally about 10:30, the dr came in for my epidural. At this point they weren't sure if I'd still be able to get it as far as I was dilated. But thankfully it worked!! I was now enjoying labor! I went from 7 1/2 cm to 9 quickly again. The last cm took FOREVER!! or so it seemed, it was much longer than my other 2 deliveries. My dr. came in about 12:55 to check me and I was very close and had just a little bit of the cervix to get rid of. She told me to lay on my right side to get ride of that little bit. She came back in and said it had done the trick. She wanted me to do a practice push to see if I was ready and sure enough...she said woah, stop we aren't ready to deliver just yet!The nurses &amp; dr got everything ready and with the 1st push, Dr. Smith said, &quot;it's got lots of dark hair.&quot; Then in 2 more pushes, she said &quot;IT'S A GIRL!!&quot; At 1:19pm Kenzie BreAnn was born. She weighed 7 lbs. 12 oz. and was 21 inches long. Her apgar scores were 8 and 9.After the dr and nurses got her and me all taken care of, Dennis went back to the waiting room and got the big sisters. They both have been in love ever since!! Neither one can get enough of their little sister! Then of course the grandmas and one aunt came in. We had several others aunts/uncles come after work that evening.Kenzie has been such a blessing! I cannot complain...she's wonderful! It brings tears to my eyes when I think about how much love the girls have for their little sister and how much Dennis and I have for all 3 of them!</div>

<div align="center">Becky (twingirls05) would like everyone to welcome her BABY GIRL
Name: Olivia Paige
Born: March 9, 2008
Weight: 6 lbs 13 oz
Length: 19 inches

Gestation: 38 Weeks 5 Days

On 3/9/08 (4 days before my scheduled c-section), DH and I woke up in a hotel room. We had gone to L&D the night before (3/8) due to a really sever migraine I had had for about 18 hours. I got a shot of Nubain and was sent home. We went and stayed in a hotel because we were in the middle of a blizzard and there was no way we were able to make it home because our development was snowed in. It was horrible outside! So, we stayed in a hotel where DH's sister works.I woke up at 9 am on Sunday morning and felt a gush of fluid. I wasn't sure if I lost bladder control or my water broke. So, I got up to use the restroom and noticed that my pj pants were wet. So, I took a shower, got ready and went to the bathroom again when I had another gush of fluid. I woke up DH and told him we should probably head back to the hospital because I think my water just broke. We got to the hospital around 10 am. I was hooked up to the monitors and they did a swab of the pad that I had on. I hadn't leaked anymore fluid, so they had the OB come in and do a speculum exam. As he was doing the exam, I had another gush of fluid, so there was no reason to do anymore tests. They had the answer that my water had broken. At that time, they got my IV started and started all the paperwork and questions to get me ready for my c-section. In the meantime, my family had all come to the hospital to keep me company. About 12 pm, they came in to let me know that they had just taken back an emergency c-section patient, so I would have to wait. About 1:45 pm, it was finally my turn. They took me back to the OR and got my spinal started, catheter in, etc. At 2:05 pm, they made the incision. At 2:12 pm, Olivia Paige made her way into the world. She weighed 6 lb. 13 oz. and was 19 inches long. Her apgars were 8/8. She came into the world screaming her tiny little head off.Soon after she was born, during her assessment, they noticed that she had a small grunt while she was crying. So, they called Special Care to come in and look at her. They quickly put some o2 on her and put her in the isolette and took her to the NICU. I was devastated. I had only gotten to see her up close for about 15 seconds before they took her away. They took her to the NICU and did a chest x-ray. They found that she has a small pneumothorax (hole in her lung). They put her under an O2 hood for 8 hours. They eventually weaned her back to breathing room air. By 10 pm that night, she was off of the o2 hood and in an open crib. I finally got to go in and hold her! it was heaven! She stayed in the NICU for observation for 36 hours. By Tuesday afternoon, she was able to room-in with me! I was so relieved that she was ok and was going to be able to come home with us!On Thursday 3/13 (the day I was supposed to have my scheduled c-section), Olivia and I were discharged from the hospital!</div>

<div align="center">Katrina (~~Katrina~~) would like everyone to welcome her BABY BOY
Name: Brendan Dale
Born: March 10, 2008
Weight: 10 lbs 2.6 oz
Length: 22 inches
Time: 4:47 PM
Gestation: 40 Weeks

I woke up around 5:00am on Monday, March 10, 2008 to go to the bathroom, and as soon as I crawled back in bed I noticed that my contractions were 7-8 minutes apart and campy. I laid there keeping track of them for about an hour before getting up to take a shower. Unlike the early labor that I had a few days before on Saturday, these contractions continued during and after the shower, so I had high hopes that it really was the day that I would finally get to meet my little baby. I labored at home, pacing the family room and gently rolling on my birthing ball to help move baby down and into position. Around 8:00am the contractions were down to around 5 minutes apart so I called my OB to let her now what was happening. I was planning on the quick 15 minute drive to the hospital close to our house, so imagine my surprise and stress when my Dr told me I was going to have to drive down to the big hospital 30 minutes away because she was down there for the delivery of another patient! By this time, my contractions had increased to only three minutes apart, so I started freaking out. Eric and I immediately packed the car and headed out. We’ve had a harsh winter here, so every road to the hospital was filled with potholes, and it felt like each one we hit was while I was having a contraction…not fun. We did make it to the hospital without having a baby, or getting pulled over for speeding…whew! When the triage nurse checked me after arriving at the hospital, I was shocked to find that I was already 6cm dilated! My OB was generous with the 1cm dilation at my appointment just a few days before, so I was going fast. They quickly wheeled me to a LDR room and hooked me up to the monitors – all looked good with the baby. I got my epidural pretty much right away so that I wouldn’t go past the point of no return, so at least I was finally comfortable. Amazingly, things slowed down a little bit from this point, and at 1:30 my OB broke my water to help get things moving again. This helped me get to around 7cm, before they had to give me a little kick with a small dose of pitocin. Within an hour or so of starting the pitocin, I was fully dilated, and ready to push. I pushed through maybe four contractions with the nurse, and then we had to stop and wait for my Dr to finish washing up and getting dressed for the delivery. She was moving so fast since I was literally starting to deliver the baby without even pushing. As soon as the Dr was in position, I pushed through two contractions, and my sweet little Brendan Dale was born. His apgars were 9 and 9, and I about fell out of the bed when they placed him on the scale and I saw the numbers 10 lbs 2.6 oz! I delivered a baby the size of an average eight week old! He measured 22 inches in length, so overall he’s in the 95% in both weight and length. I don’t know how I delivered such a big baby so “easily”. After the nurse and Dr’s checked Brendan out, I was able to breast feed him right away and he latched on without much effort. We came home from the hospital on Wednesday afternoon and are all doing well.</div>
