I wouldn't worry. Babies develop at such different rates....Collin is a pretty serious guy as well. He just now started smiling and "talking" to us.....before that he would only do it at his toys

Yes I know I just get all paranoid lol he does everything at his own rate and on his own terms always has would drive the nurses in NICU crazy that he wasn't going along with their guidelines, I am just being a worry wart.

He talks to his wubbanub lol and laughs when he is pulling the 13 year olds hair little monkey he is.

I felt the same way for a while. My baby was born in November too, so she's one of the older babies on the board. I was seeing posts about babies weeks younger than her that were smiling already and I was worried! She would smile once every now and then...nothing consistent. Now she smiles alot and is VERY vocal. It seemed to just start out of the blue. Don't worry, he'll become more expressive!

I had the same feelings a couple weeks ago. I was worried that Ava hardly ever smiled or cooed or anything and everyone else was sharing pictures of their babies smiling at the camera and whatnot. But this past week or so she's all of a sudden been so smiley and she's starting to "talk" to us a lot now. Like Heather said, all babies develop a different paces, I'm sure Max will bust out with tons of smiles really soon!

Hun I have been feeling the same way. Emmalynne has just started to smile and she does not smile too often and I do not think I have heard her coo at all to be quite honest. I think though that they all just do things at a different time and I am most definitely sure that he will be making all kinds of noise soon.
