Does everyones LO's sleep through the night? Do they still want to eat sometime's?
Cambria slept through the night at about 5 months. Then a few days before she turned 7 months It stoped. I think the teething has something to do with it but now that she's 8 1/2 months she STILL wakes anywhere from 3-6am and sometimes takes 2 hours to get her to go back to sleep. I always have to give her a bottle too. It's getting tiring!!!!!!
Adrian nurses once or twice a night. I think that is actually quite age appropriate and our society is too attached to the babies sleeping through the night early on idea. If they do it on their own, great, if not, that's normal, too. Fritz started sleeping through the night on his own around 15 months. I think that was pretty early. Cameron was 22 months old. Ani was about 6 years old. Sometimes she still doesn't at 9. No problem, though, since she hasn't bothered me at night since she was about 4.

Aaden has never really slept through the night. There have been one or two nights where he has, but they've been few & far between. When we first moved him to his crib (3 1/2 months) he started sleeping from 10:00-4:00ish, then from about 4:30-8:30. He's now waking up anywhere from 2-4 times, and most of the time, he'll take a bottle, other times he just needed cuddled. I'm almost always able to rock him back to sleep, but occasionally he'll be too wide awake, and I have to put him in his swing to get him back to sleep. Also, everytime he "wakes" up, he's never really awake, he's just whining in his sleep. Starting tomorrow night I'm going to let him try to whine himself back to sleep instead of waiting a few minutes, then going in to him. Of course he starts crying, I'll go to him.
Even though it really sucks that he's waking up so much, I'm (& my body) is pretty much used to it.

Lukas slept about 10 hours a night from 2 months-6 months. Then when the ear infections started he was waking at least once a night. 4-5 times during the worst part of the infections. In the last 2.5 months he's only slept the whole night a handful of times.
Alyssa has slept through the night once. And it was when she was 2 months old. I've gotten used to her waking up a few times a night, she'll sleep through the night when she is ready. Sometimes she wants to nurse, other times she just wants her binky or to be cuddled. She's such a cuddle bug.
Parker will generally sleep 10-12 hours, but there are many nights where she gets up in the middle of the night hungry. It usually takes an hour or two to get her happy and back to bed.
They can go through phases of sleeping through the night, and then phases where they wake up and want to eat. Some of it could be teething, and it could be growth spurt where she wants/needs to eat more. I know it's tiring, but you'll get through it.
I agree with Heather, society does put too much pressure on infants sleeping all night. I'm sure we all experienced someone asking if our little ones were sleeping all night when they were just a few weeks old. Yes, we all love our sleep, but babies aren't like older children or adults and we shouldn't expect them to be. It's a phase, it won't last forever.
Abby has slept through the night since she was 4 weeks old and has woken a few times because she's scooched up into the corner of her crib and needed help getting out but never to eat. They're all different. My son was 7 months old before he slept through the night and didn't wake up for a nighttime bottle.
Josh started sleeping the majority of the night when he was about 3mths old. when he was 5mths old he went down at 10pm and only very rarely he would wake up at 2-3 for a bottle. At 6 1/2mths he started sleeping 10pm til 9-10am. About a month ago he started waking up once a night around 1am and would SCREAM like someone was hurting him, id get him out change his diaper and hold him for a few minutes---he isnt very cuddly--and then id kiss him and lay him back down, only a handful of times hes needed a bottle for that wakeup. a few times he has also woke up at 1230am, 3am, 5am and 8am and finally 930am for the day. when he does that he will usually take a bottle at 3am. im pretty used to it, but sometimes when i get a full week straight of not waking up and he suprises me it can take me a few seconds to ge adjusted and say oooo its one of them nights lol

ha. no. never has. he might have a good 3 or 4 hour interval but normally he wakes up 3-4 times a night to nurse. sometimes 5 or more if we're having a bad night.
Serenity nurses 2-3 times a night....I put her down at about 9 and she will wake up about 1am to nurse and then usually between 4 & 5 to nurse then she nurses at 730 and then fully wakes up....sometimes she misses the 1am nursing, and sometimes instead she misses the 4-5 am nursing....

Thuya's sleeping pattern is always changing. The only time he ever slept through the night was the night he was born! As of now he is sleeping for a 4-5 hour stretch. He nurses every time he wakes up but I think its purely to soothe him.

HAHAHA!! sleep thru the night?? whats that?? ;-) actually my dtr did the exact thing cambria did. slept thru the night around 5 mos for a few days at at time. then about 6-7 mos stopped. she hasnt really since. sometimes ill let her whine and shell go back. she isnt ALWAYS hungry. if i give her a bottle she ll sometimes sip on it or if she s really hungry then she'l suck it down. even with an overnight diaper ill sometimes need to change it in teh middle of the night around 2 or 3am....
im so used to getting up at night that i dont know what its like to sleep thru myself!!
i agree about our society expecting babies to sleep thru....we have high expectations...but i think thats bc we are in a country of good health and wealth...so we worry about other things. im a worrier too! ;-)
Thanks girls....I thought I was the only one going crazy Most of the time she'll go back to bed but sometimes she's just wide awake for at least 1 1/2 and it takes me a while to get her to go back to bed. She must be hungry everytime though cause she sucks down the bottle pretty fast. Luckily she's only pee'd through her diaper a couple times. She Loves to sleep in though. I have to wake her at 9am or she'll sleep till 10. She's crazy
my girls are kind of starting to sleep through the night - but never will they do it on the same night. Serenity has been teething really badly the last few nights and has been up every couple of hours. She ends up waking Arianna up, and it can take awhile to get her settled down again because Serenity is being so loud. When teeth aren't involved, they will wake and cry, but a binkie and a little back rub will get them back to sleep pretty quickly.
