Ouch!! How is he doing? That sounds so painful. Any ideas as to how it happened?

from what I could get out of them...

Kyle had his feet on the couch and his hands on the floor "exercising" and Kurt decided to "help" him get his feet off the couch.

In other words, they are both grounded. One for climbing on the couch and one for pushing his brother

Wow Ginni sorry, the poor little guy. Did he just come to you crying? Does he have a sling or anything. I know when DH dislocated his shoulder he popped it back in and tore up his rotater cuff, then needed surgery. Not saying that Kyle will have that of course! DH is a LOT oler with other issues.

yeah kyle started crying like he was hurt, kurt kept saying "I'm sorry kyle, I'm sorry, it was an accident" I got kyle's shirt off, he had a bruise coming up on his collarbone, and cried louder when I tried to move his arm, but it would move. I said" lay down here on the couch, it will stop hurting in a minute", and 5 minutes later he was still screaming like when it just happened so I looked at it a little more closely and realized the shoulder was dislocated. I called daddy and told him to come home quickly, got kyle laying back down on the couch, got kurt dinner and got dressed to go. a few minutes later kyle was just whimpering and saying he was hungry so I sat him up and gave him a pediasure. America's Funniest Videos came on about that time and the next thing I know kyle is laughing hysterically at the tv and I'm thinking ok.....

daddy gets home a couple of minutes later and thinks I am retarded because obviously kyle's shoulder is back in place, he can move his arm again, and it just saying OW when you mess with it, but not even crying. then kyle tried to lay down on the couch and the shoulder slid back out and he screamed. after that he was whimpering again and crying when I tried to move it, so we left.

get to the hospital and it's fine again, my mom met me there and kind of rolled her eyes at me when she looked at kyle playing with a toy and moving his arm. I moved his arm and realized he has his elbow next to him real stiff and was just moving from the elbow down, so we went in.

4 hours later we got home with a sleeping boy (he went to sleep about 20 minutes after we got into a room with a bed, even slept through the second set of x-rays) He has a sling, instructions for tylenol, motrin, and ice, and I have to call the ortho today for a follow up.

right now he is still asleep which is REALLY late, I keep going to check on him lol. poor baby is exhausted.

Poor Kyle. Kids always amazes me how quickly they bounce back. If only adults were as easy.

lol a little guilty feeling. I have told him more than once that yes, I know it was an accident, yes I know he wasn't trying to hurt kyle, but I'm not totally letting him off the hook. hopefully it will teach them both to chill out and that there is a reason we don't play on the furniture!

It is always sad when kids have to get hurt to realize we aren't just being mean when we tellthem "no". I hope he feels better soon.
