I found out early this morning that my aunt passed away. She had been diagnosed with cancer a few months ago. The last I had heard from my cousin (on Tuesday) was that my aunt was in a lot of pain and was on so much pain medication that all she was doing was sleeping. They had scheduled chemo to start Wednesday (yesterday). My cousin sent me a text message around 11:15 last night, shortly after my aunt passed, but I didn't see it until about 1:15 this morning. Needless to say, this was a BIG shock.
I wanted to make a post here, because a lot of you that are my friends on Facebook were wondering what was up with my status.

We're planning on going to the visitation, and possibly the funeral. It's about a 2 hour drive, so it's not too bad. We've already decided we're going to leave Aaden with the IL's.

I am so sorry for your loss. There are never the right words to express the empathy and sadness that we feel in your time of need.
I know it has been said before, but sometimes it helps to remember that the pain is gone for her now. We had a similar situation with my grandfather right before we conceived Dalton, and the memory and pain is still very sharp. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Allison, I am so sorry to heat that. And yes, cancer sucks! My dh's aunt just got diagnosed with pancreatic cancer My heart goes out to you and will keep your family in my t & p's. (((HUGS))) She is resting comfortably now and no longer in pain.
