Going all the way back to Memorial Day...we went to this place around the corner called the Natural Science Center It's like a zoo & we'd never been there before. We planned on going to the zoo that day (it's about 30 minutes away), but it was forecasted to rain. So we decided to go to the NSC, so we could get home quicker. We had a good time and plan on going back again.

We had Laila's birthday party this past Sunday. The weather was beautiful and we had a great time!

Laila had her 12 month check-up yesterday. She is still in the 10th percentile at 18 lbs 4 oz, 28 inches long and 18.5 inch head. I was afraid she would've fallen off the chart, so I'm glad she is at least consistent. She's so petite, but I thought she would've been longer than that. She got her shots and cried so much harder than ever before. I think it's because she was sleepy. The ped gave me encouragement to keep trying with the milk transition. She said if I was truly ready to wean to eliminate one BF session at a time and give her milk in the same cup everytime, so she'll expect milk out of it. I love bfing, but I think I'm ready to wean. I bought a new Nuby cup with a straw (because the other Nuby sippy will leak if you tighten it where the tabs don't fit in the silicone nipple thing just right) and she drank about an ounce of milk from it with no problems. I guess I'll just keep trying.

She is so cute! I always like seeing her smile. We go to the NSC from time to time as well. Be careful about the "Spray Zone". hehe We haven't been out to the big Zoo since they opened up the new construction area so we've been talking about going out that way too.
