The Mom 2 Mom (or mom garage sale) that I am doing is next weekend. I could use your help with pricing.
All the clothes are in good condition. some are new, but most are gently used
Let me know if you think these are prices you would pay or if I am way off and should charge more or less
.50 for shorts, onesies or t-shirts
1.00 for pants
1.00 for sweaters and long sleeve shirts
1.00 for shoes
1.00 for rompers
.50 for hats
2.00-5.00 for coats
There would also be some items marked up from those prices (name brand items or outfits)
Toys 1.00 unless marked with some being 2 dollars
There would be a .25 bin of random items including socks, misc onesies and other odds and ends.
I agree the bigger name brand things can be a little higher, but i wouldnt do them too much higher on a mom to mom sale, if your looking to make some good money back on those, i might just put them on Ebay- your likely to get more for them there.
Ive never been to a mom 2 mom sale, so im not sure what kind of prices to expect from it. But yours dont seem to far off from what i would pay at garage sales. So thats good. I usually like to pay .50-1.00 a peice for clothing. Usually 2 peice outfits i wont pay more than 1 dollar for, if you have an outfit i think something to kee in mind would be like .50 a peice. So if its a 3 peice outfit, i would do it for about 1.50, ect.
For the onsies- you might want to group them together, like if you ahve 5 similar onsies from the same pack- put them together and sell them as a set, i think those might sell better than induvidually marked. Same with things like sweatpants or even socks. You can put like 5 pairs of socks in a baggy and say 1 dollar a bag, or group 2 pairs of sweat pants for like 1.00.
Your prices do seem great though and i dont thin you will have any issues selling your stuff, just thought i would offer some suggestions
Honestly i know for me, i dont pay anymore for name brand shoes or clothes then i would for anything else at a garage sale. In fact, i just bought 2 pairs of brand new, never been worn-stride rites for Mac at a garage sale yesterday for 1 dollar each, as well as 3 other brands- but still practically brand new, for 1 dollar each as well.
