Hey ladies, haven't posted in here for awhile. But I have come to report on the latest chapter of my long, drawn-out weight loss saga!
Since I quit exercising I gained back a few pounds. About mid September I got on the scale and saw 147 and that scared me a little. I don't want to creep back up to the 150s! So I decided that something had to be done. I finally admitted to myself that my eating habits needed cleaning up. Up until then I had been using the excuse that "this is how I ate when I lost the weight after the other kids." I finally had to face reality and admit that wasn't the truth.
So I began counting calories again. This is how I lost the weight after having Benjamin, combined with exercise 3x a week. I haven't started exercising now but I do try and move around a lot and get lots of stuff done each day instead of sitting around.
Anyways, my goal has been 1500 calories per day and it took about half a week to get the hang of it but ever since then I have stuck with it without too many problems or slip-ups.
I saw that 147 on Sep. 18 and now, 3 weeks later, I saw 142 on the scale this morning and it nearly stayed on 141. So I am happy and cautiously optimistic that this is finally going to work for me. I need to be 135 to be pre-pregnancy weight and fit all my old clothes but I would like to eventually be somewhere in the 125-130 range. 120 would be fabulous but I don't want to set my sights too high yet.
Anyways, if you got this far, have a cookie! Just wanted to update you ladies on where I am at.
