Did any of you ladies have that nasty, metallic taste in your mouth during pregnancy? I know this is not a DDC, but for some reason I can not open any posts in my DDC and I can't post either. no clue why.

Anyway, the name for it is Dysgeusia and it sucks. I have this nasty taste in my mouth 24/7. Brushing my teeth doesn't help. The only thing that helps is eating candy, so yay, I really am going to gain a million pounds.

Omg yes! I didn't know there was a name for it! I just thought it was me, my bulimia cause my teeth to suffer so I thought it was from that!

Wow...learn something new everyday. Only thing that helped me was sweets also!

I soo had that during pregnancy!! Hated it so much. Although I never really noticed what made it better or not. Just dealt with it as best I could.

I had it horribly as well. I found that Trident spearmint gum was a life saver. No other flavor worked, but that did help. It's one of the most annoying side effects ever!

Yes! It was awful, the only thing that helped was having a hard candy in my mouth. I do not miss pregnancy at all.

Yes it is. They also give it to lower your BP during labor. When mine jumped to 199/109 they started it and I had to be on it for 24 hours after delivery (even on it my BP was running 215/115). YUCK!! Not looking forward to that again.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I remember it with Teagan, but it didn't last this long.
