Terrible. Honestly, just terrible. He has no portion control, little motivation to exercise (though he goes through spurts where he tries...but never manages to lose much weight, so gives up), and as a result is pretty overweight.
DH is SO thin by nature, it kills me! He eats pretty well. He's not a breakfast person so he usually eats bigger lunches & dinners. When it's warmer outside, he loves to get out, take walks, play with the dogs, etc. but he doesn't "work out", per se.
DH is skinny too. He can eat whatever he wants and it makes me sick that he has a great metabolism (but hopeful for Cooper!). Up until I lost the weight after having Cooper I weighed more than him, for several years, that was a big bummer!
He is a big biker (mountain, road, endurance) and runner. He dabbles with wanting to lift weights but has never really found a way to stick with the strength training.
DH is naturally stocky. He is barrel chested and has very broad arms and shoulders. He likes exercising but while we wait for his shoulder surgery he's pretty limited on what all he can do outside of cardio.
He is way more disciplined than me when we're on a diet though! He has lost 4lbs since New Year's!
My DH wants to lose 50 lbs but even with the extra weight, he just looks big and stocky, not fat. He doesn't formally exercise because he's a farmer and works outside or in the shop all day, which involves a lot of physical labour. It's the eating that gets him, same as me!
Dh's habits are terrible. But the weird thing is, in his mind he thinks they're good. For instance, he only buys organic pop tarts for breakfast. HELLO!!! They're still POP TARTS!!!
He's probably gained close to 75 lbs since we've been together, and it's so frustrating for me, because every time I say something he either gets pissy or says something about how we've both put on weight. Last time I checked, I was ten pounds and 2 pregnancies from where I was when we met.
