Hope I can join in here now too! Been dragging my feet, but I am about to outgrow all of my clothes. I was down to smaller than pre-preg weight last summer, but then my BIL was murdered and I turned to my old comfort friend--food. It's getting out of control now, and I am feeling awful. My dr is sending me to a cardiologist to get checked because I've been having chest pain for the last few days that originally started after my DH and I went for a walk. I think my heart is fine (but have to get some tests due to family history), but it was another wake-up call that I need to get in shape. Once I fully wean, I'll start Metformin for my PCOS, and that will probably help me lose some weight. I need to lose about 10 pounds to be back at my pre-pg weight, and ideally I would like to lose 15-20 to be healthier. I really don't care too much about the number on the scale, but I really want my clothes to fit. I've got the Wii Fit Plus and the Jenny McCarthy workout thing for Wii, but I haven't really done much yet. My plan was to do that while the girls nap, but so far I keep doing other things like computer, housework, TV. My huge goal is to stop drinking soda. I love Dr. Pepper, but it has to go. Hoping we all meet our goals together!
Welcome aboard hon! Cutting out soda is rough at first, but it's been amazing for me... That was the first major change I made, and I swear on that alone I lost 5lb. Now, I can barely even drink soda because of how sweet it tastes.
I cut out soda last year (I had maybe 2-3 all year) and can't stand the taste of it now (I was not a big soda drinker to begin with though). It's hard to get started but once you get into a routine it will be easier.
