Michael and I love to fish. We took a vacation to Minnesota with my family when Logan was 3 months old, and we had so much fun. Last summer we did some fishing around here, and Logan got to tag along. They had some enclosed docks, so Logan could toddle around and check things out while we fished.
Hopefully we'll be able to do some fishing this summer now that Logan is bigger and can understand it more. I caught him watching a fishing show the other day and he was totally amazed! lol.
Yes and yes. DH does both and is a diehard hunter (please see 4' wide elk in my living room for more information.) I have shot gophers and tried to shoot a coyote once but never been on an actual hunting trip.
We both LOVE fishing... we went deep sea fishing in Costa Rica, we both LOVE fly fishing (see my 16" rainbow on my FB profile pic, lol!) and we go lake fishing when we can. Fly fishing is the best I've tried so far though. Can't WAIT for spring!!
DH loves to fish and we go camping at his grandpa's pond in the summer and he fishes...I HATEEEEEEE (really I cannot emphasize this enough) fish and fishing and bait and slime and eww. The only time I had fun fishing was deep sea fishing in cabo - that was exciting pulling in a yellowfin...
Also, no hunting...basically no blood/guts for me whether mammalian or aquatic. DH got a rifle for Christmas from his avid hunter step dad...so we will see next fall I suppose. He's a mans man, he can handle it I guess. As long he doesn't hang that **** upside down in my garage. Did I mention I hate blood and guts? Oh I did..ok.
Dh grew up hunting and fishing a little, as its one of his dad's hobbies. My FIL has taken the big girls fishing before, they LOVE it. Go figure, they have no patience at home, but put them on a boat with a fishing poll and they enjoy it.
I grew up fishing a little with my dad, I just don't have the patience for it.
DH is an avid fisherman and hunter. I like to fish, but only from the shore...LOL. I'd love to go hunting with him sometime but it's so EARLY when he goes that I'd have to find someone willing to take the kids that early and get my butt out of my warm bed...haha. Hunter has gone both hunting and fishing with DH and loves loves LOVES it!
Mom to Hunter (10) and Elijah (5). Wife of 12 years to John. Christian, homesteader, photographer, and blogger.
Dh loves to hunt and fish. Actually dh went Elk hunting for our Honeymoon! Seriously!
He hunts in October and then fishes year around. We have some of the best Salmon runs (except for maybe in Alaska) around this area. Dh makes sure he takes full advantage of all the great fishing. So much that I'm pretty much sick of Salmon. He actually went out last wk and then smoked the fish on Saturday.
Dh also loves to clam and go crabbing. I would join him more but mostly that's something he does with the Boys. Then again, it's a bit hard with 2 babies.
Yes, my DH is a hunter/fisher. He does both rifle and archery hunting. Actually, just last night he asked me again if I want my own bow. I don't mind it, but I don't really have the patience for either one. I like nature, but I'm not quiet enough to be a hunter. Fishing makes me sleepy. Mia loves fishing and got her own pole for her bday. I bought DH some Wii games hoping he'd stop complaining about wanting to go hunting again. I'll eat elk and deer, but not really anything else that he brings home.
