I was sooooooo afraid to weigh after not working out for almost 3 weeks, and celebrating Cade's birthday for an entire week with cupcakes & cake, LOL.... and being sick as a dog... BUT I got on the scale this morning and I'm down to 153!!! (and that's even before going to the bathroom, LOL) That's down 5 pounds and only 3 pounds away from my birthday goal weight!! I'm literally in shock, LOL, but so happy!!! Just proves that eating clean (not counting the cupcakes & cake, LOL) has a lot to do with weight loss!!! I wasn't able to work out so I made sure to really pay attention to my eating habits. Now... hopefully I can lose that 3 pounds by the end of the month!

WTG momma! You are my clean eating inspiration. It was tough at first, but it's getting easier. I'm so proud of you. Those 3 lbs are going to melt off!

I know, all it takes is a little determination bc after a week or 2, you don't even crave the "crap" that was previously going into your body without a thought.

so what is this clean eating you speak of?? what would I have to stop eating

I'll list what I ate this week and you tell me what I would have to stop??

cajun chicken sandwich's --chicken, bacon, dressing, onion on a white roll
maple brown sugar oatmeal
milk
water
diet mt dew
granola bar
pizza(thin crust 105 calories)
salad with croutons
sloppy joes
popcorn (100 calorie bag)
fresh fruit
water
diet snapple

Okay so thats everything I have ate since Monday--even looking at it I obviously see stuff that needs to go!

Um... I hope you are kidding. LOL If you're going to eat 100% clean you'd have to cut out everything except the water, fresh fruit, milk (assuming it's skim) and salad... the crutons have gotta go. LOL Along with everything else

LOL dressing.... have you looked at the nutritional info on the back? LOL Dressing is what makes salad bad for you... I know that's a crazy concept but crutons are LOADED with calories that you don't need.

For dinner we stick with 1 protein (chicken breast or something lean) and 1 veggie. Complex carbs if you have to have carbs but I don't recommend them for dinner. Keep your carb consumption early in the day so you can burn it off.

you have most certainly gave me a lot to think about!

I have never thought of eating a salad without dressing and just taking it all in of just how much i eat that is not "good" for me is kinda crazy!

Good luck Sarah! Dinner is the hardest part for me because that's the meal that I eat with the family and THEY are not eating clean. What I've been doing is making some fish or chicken ahead of time and keeping it in the fridge for frozen pizza night, etc. When we do have a main dish I can eat (which is most nights) I eat that, with the veggies (generally steamed or roasted) and skip the carbs.

The days are much easier for me because I bring everything with me to work. Today I've got a banana, an apple, an orange, carrots, salmon and almonds. That gets me through from the time I get in until 5. I don't carry change/cash so no snacks from the vending machine. I've gotten really good at avoiding any treats people bring in, and all I'm drinking is water during the day. Having everything mapped out, measured out and on hand has been the biggest key to my success. I don't think I'd be able to do this if I was at home, surrounded my all the temptations, though.
