LOL

Well everything is pretty clean except the cereal.
Corn is questionable.... yes it's a veggie but it's probably the highest in carbs.
Natural PB?

I posted that article that Derek wrote before but you HAVE to count more than calories.... fat, saturated fat, protein, carbs.... your macronutrients are all just as important, if not more important than calorie counts. Just bc corn is a vegetable, that doesn't mean it's your *best* option for a veggie at dinnertime. It's very starchy.

I like your lunch though, that's what I have almost every day, LOL turkey or tuna or sometimes chicken if we have some left over

You asked! LOL

It REALLY does. You have to think about clean eating as everything being in it's natural state. Shop the outter edges of the grocery store.... produce, lean meat, dairy.... NOTHING processed. There are some "clean-ish" cereals in the whole foods section but it tastes like tree bark, LOL.... you have to really watch more than calories when your eating clean.... and read the ingredients. You can usually tell right away when something is processed.

Thank you, Christa. I don't mind that's why I asked you!

I started with corn only because I am not a big fan of cooked veggies so I was getting myself in the routine

Other than that I don't know any other "clean " breakfast ideas that I can stomach without vomiting. LOLI have some major texture issues and can't stand eggs or oatmeal that doesn't have a flavor to mask the texture. So throw some at me if you know of something else

I have been keeping track of all the other things that I need. (myfitnesspal, does all that for me) thank goodness because I would go crazy trying to keep track.

That's a great start Sarah!

Don't feel limited by "breakfast foods" Food's food, and doesn't have to be restrained to certain hours of the day. If you like turkey wraps, you could have that for breakfast

5 days out of the week, my breakfast is on the go. I've been having protein shakes that I mix with 1/4 cup yogurt, a few pieces of frozen fruit, 1/2 cups skim milk or water, and recently, some dried oatmeal. Blend that all together and slurp it down on the way to drop Maya at school. If you like smoothies, you can just omit the protein powder. My faves are strawberry banana, peach blueberry, or raspberry kiwi.

You're also going to want to at least double your water. It's amazing how much you flush out (no pun intended) when you're getting enough water. Whenever I feel bloated, that's the place I start.

It is definitely a huge change and hard to get used to. I need to up my water intake a ton. I could always do a protein shake-I didn't even think of that. well this is going to be a work in progress! thanks ladies

Sarah- I was thinking about you today and wanted to share something that works for me. To make sure I'm getting enough water, I bought a one liter water bottle. It's equal to 4 glasses of water. I just make sure that I drink all of it by lunch and then another one before bed. Easy peasy. Having it measured out is the only way I've been able to be sure I get enough because I don't have the time or attention span to make sure I'm getting up and getting a glass of water 8-10 times a day. HTH!

I do the same thing. I keep it in the fridge so it's always cold and if I haven't finished one bottle by lunch I know I need to get drinking. I will also try to drink 2-3 cups before even leaving the house in the morning and that sometimes works to my advantage too!
