Well, we decided to jump ahead a few months and start the process of TTC now! We were originally going to wait until Nov/Dec. I called today to get my IUD taken out and the first apt. they could give me was May 19th Apparently it is only a fifteen minute apt. so why do I have to wait four weeks to get in???? Oh well, we will wait the recommended time after it is removed and then we are officially on like Donkey Kong!

Congrats!! Sorry you have to wait so long though Im curious, what is the recommended amount of time you are advised to wait? Ive had IUD's for years now and never been told to wait, rather warned and advised that I could get preggo right away and to make sure I knew that and was ready.

Idk, maybe your Dr's office is just booked up or something? Either way good luck when it comes time to TTC!

The vaccine isn't on the schedule until 11-12yrs but is approved for use at age 2yrs. Our second son received the vaccine in December 2010 when he was 2yrs old. My son & thousands of other children prove that a vaccine is needed at a younger age.

I was told by the doctor and by a few girls here on the board (Ginni and Danielle) that if you concieve before having a regular cycle you have a higher chance of losing the baby.

how exciting! yeah, you can definitely ovulate immediately, but you will probably have a healthier uterine lining after at least 1 cycle.

BUT! I did conceive Claire immediately after mine was removed
