I asked my midwife and she said it can make you spot for up to 6 months, possibly everyday. It doesn't trigger AF, but it causes spotting. So you might start spotting lightly, and it could be AF, but it could just be a side effect. Are you BFing exclusively?

Yes, but she does take a paci on occasion. I guess my OB did say something about cramping at times, which makes sense, but she didn't say anything about AF.

ETA: I was on the mini-pill after Kaija was born and AF didn't come back until she was about 8 months old. And that was after I was done bfing, but we supplemented from 1 month.

Is it a regular AF?

I spotted on and off for 2-3 weeks, sometime almost like AF but never for more than 12 hours...And havent bled since the original spotting stopped, and its been 6 mos..

I cramped, bled, spotted etc for 7 weeks after. There were one or two 2 day breaks in there. Haven't had anything 6 months on, I was told that basically your first AF will be slightly less then normal and the next even lighter, then you most likely won't have one. I know I won't get one at all while its in based on other things I've had over time.
