I am now 13 weeks and a couple of days..

And I have not gained a single pound. While I know a lot of moms would be jumping up and down for joy, I am concerned.

Most of you guys know I had gastric bypass 11/21/04. I was 383, went down to 168, and back up to a healthy weight of 205 before getting pregnant with Bree. I'm 6'2" and built like a linebacker. .. The doc wanted me between 215-230. When I got pregnant with this bean, I was 238. The stress from the divorce made me pack on some pounds, I think, I had been hovering right at 227-230 for about a year before that.

At my appt last week.. 237. I haven't been throwing up all THAT much, much less than with Brianna, right now, I'm at 238 again. I just.. I dunno. I'm eating as much as I possibly can, but my tummy's still small, and I can't shove in but so much or it.. ahem.. returns.

I have an appt 6/9, so I'll ask then if I haven't gained any weight.. I'm just nervous.

and amused.. after writing this.. how many pregnant mommies are begging to gain weight?
thank you claire1979. for my amazing siggie!

I really wouldn't worry too much. But if it is really weighing on you then I would ask the dr.

I think a lot of moms don't gain much (or even lose) in the 1st tri. The baby is so teeny at this point. I wouldn't worry too much, but it never hurts to call your OB or midwife.

I'd trust your body to take care of the babe as it needs to - as long as you are eating when you're hungry, and staying hydrated, I'd think it's okay. But for your mental health, do ask!

I am going to be 18 weeks tomorrow and I am still down 3 lbs. I was down 5 so I guess I've gained 2 (but honestly...that was this week on vacation LOL). And I may lose that again, not sure. My body just seems to want to maintain this weight for a little bit and I am JUMPING FOR JOY!! haha - I know you're nervous, but your body will do what it needs to do. My midwife says she is not concerned at all...I have an appointment next Wednes - i'll let you know my stats and what she says, just to see if we're on the same page.
