How are we doing, girls?


I could've eaten better today (had some ice cream and some chocolate chips) but I walked around town a bit and a little at the mall, and then I ran a mile on the treadmill and biked 3.5 miles on the recumbant bike. So I think it evened out.

I'm just having trouble with staying motivated. I still really want to run the 5K in July, but training for it seems so overwhelming. It just feels like there's no way I'll ever be able to run that far.

Aww, I bet you can do it, Kelly!

I haven't worked out all week due to my asthma (maybe today though, I'm starting to feel more normal), but I am still down two pounds and one inch around my waist! I'll take it! Been eating really well too. Lots of salads and fruit.

Kel - you can totally do a 5k. Have you looked into the couch to 5k plan? Find a run/walk so you're not putting too much pressure on yourself to run the whole time.

I am not doing well... have a HORRIBLE stomach bug and have lost 7 lbs since the beginning of the week. Was at 130.7 this morning. I'm happy about being that low but know it will creep back on when I can eat again.

I had high hopes to get some good workouts in this week but haven't done anything but lay in bed.

Meagan- I checked out the couch to 5K plan awhile back. I'll have to print it out. I just get overwhelmed easily, and I've never been a runner.

Kelly- Maybe next year I'll do the Bix with you. We're starting to get serious about moving back to Iowa after taxes next year.

I've been doing meh. I eat well at home, but I've been rushing out the door in the morning without lunch this week, which means drive through or vending machine. Blech. I haven't worked out in forever. I've got some new dvds and I found an old one that I LOVED, so I'm really going to get back into it. Really. I swear. No, really.

Oooh, that'd be awesome! On both counts! lol. I think I might walk/run the Bix this year with Michael's cousin if we don't chicken out. Haven't done it since I was like 10. Are you guys coming back for the holidays?

You can get back at it, girlie. I know it's tough. I've been meaning to start doing the Shred again, but haven't started yet. I have been doing cardio almost every day though and weights a couple times a week.

I'm very doubtful that we'll get back this year at all, which makes me kinda sad. At the same time though, we're planning on saving up every penny we get from now until next spring so we can move back. It's just hard to keep your eye on the prize. So hopefully we'll be back in the spring. I talked to my old boss yesterday and he said that if I was back in town, I could have my job back (it's seasonal, which is how I got laid off.)

So yeah... Not a work out update, but there ya go!
