Hey y'all.. ended up in the ER last night.. I passed out!

DH came home, I opened my mouth to say Hi, and ended up bolting off the couch to go throw up. I'd had a migraine yesterday, and threw up HARD.. (sorry TMI).. when I stood up, I passed out cold. DH took me to the ER to make sure all was ok, and on the way to the hospital, I had a total of 5 either a) contractions or b) the most painful Braxton Hicks I've ever seen (normally they don't hurt for me).

We get to the hospital, they give me pain meds for my head, and zofran for the nausea (which made my headache worse and had to give me more pain meds before I left).. gave me a bag of fluid for dehydration.. and after a few hours, sent me home.

This morning and I get up and I'm bleeding. It isn't bright red, but it is like the first day of AF.. CM mixed with enough blood to make me concerned. It went away after getting up this morning, but after I came back home and laid down, it came back. I'm tender, but not seriously crampy, and I've never had any bleeding with either one of my pregnancies up to this point. Not a single drop up until the day I deliver. I know it is common to spot, but after yesterday I'm worried I've done something, either from the fall, or the passing out or something. I know the medicine is 'safe'.. but they gave me morphine. That's making me wonder if something isn't wrong.

Wyatt's still moving, I've still got a thumpingly horrible headache, which is not helped at all by the worry, I think. His heart rate sounded beautiful yesterday in the ER.. I'm hoping this is all just nothing.

**Update:

Went to ER, did an u/s, checked my cervix. They're concerned about the potential for an incompetent cervix, but everything's high and long and closed at this point, no sign of a bleed. Also no sign of a bleed that they can tell.

Yesterday, they gave me 4mg of morphine.. Twice. to take away my migraine. The idiotic Physician's assistant decided that 2mg of morphine was definitely enough to kill my headache.

Nope.

Tried again.. another 2mg of morphine..

Nope.. Now I'm nauseated too. And my head is thumping, and I'm in tears.

So his idea?

ANOTHER 2mg of morphine.

So nauseated, and still in excruciating migraine pain.. Throwing up was fun. Lemme tell you. I think P.A. doesn't stand for "physician's assistant. but stands for.. I'll let you rhyme it out... 'p*ss ant'. he was all smiles and handshakes and smiles, and absolutely ineffective. Sucks.

Seeing the baby was good.. he's a long-legged little monkey. His head is 18w3 days (I'm 17w 6d) but his arms and legs are measuring 19w 2d.

Here's hoping. T&Ps appreciated greatly.

I would definatley put a call in.
Bleeding in pregnancy can be totally normal. I bled with both pregnancies, numerous times from start to finish, and both my babies came on their due dates totally perfect.
But it can also be serious! Especially if you took a fall. Im surprised that they didnt do an ultrasound on you last night, to check to make sure the placenta is still attached all the way. When i fell down the stairs with Charlie, they did one when i was at the hospital, to make sure there werent any issues.

Good Luck, and KUP, i hope it is just nothing.

Also, have you DTD lately. I found out that i have a very sensitive cervix, and even the slightest bit of irritation, either from sex or internal exams always made me bleed. At the end of my pregnancy ( about 35ish weeks) my OB did an internal, i went home and i was GUSHING blood. So i had to go back to the office and he basically stuck cotton up there until the bleeding stopped, but he said he must have irritated it with my exam.

No DTD, no internal exams, no nothing, I wish I could chalk it up to that. :-/

Sorry hun.
I had AWFUL migraines with Mackenzie. I used to sleep with ice packs on my head, just becuase i couldnt take what i knew what would take my headaches away.
I would also put ice packs on my neck and shoulders, becuase the pain went all the way down.

As far as the spotting, just keep your feet up. Do you have anyone that can help watch Brianna during the day, so you can get extra rest??

Keep up on your fluids and make sure you are eating enough. With this hot summer weather, you dont want to skimp out on anything that your body needs. Get gatorade too, the electrolytes should help keep you hydrated. Just keep drinking, even if you keep throwing up, some of it has to stay in.

Trust me, i had the most awful m/s with mac, but i just kept drinking, drinking, drinking!!!

So sorry to hear about this!! That sounds terrible A friend of mine is passing out ALL the time - her Dr thinks it's because of her low blood sugar. She did the glucose test and it came back in at 65, which is pretty low. So they think when she has a dip, she gets nauseous, headache, and then passes out if she doesn't lay down and eat something quickly.

Hope you figure something out that works for you soon!!!
