It's kind of getting real. I just got off the phone making my first prenatal appointment! It's not until July 12th which feels so far away. I know the time will fly by. I found an OB with great reviews, does VBACs and has access to both of the hospitals I would consider in my area. One of the hospitals has been doing VBACs for a while, but they aren't as "natural friendly", the other will only start doing VBACs this coming October, but is much more encouraging of natural birth. This is the same hospital Liam was born at, and I loved the staff and facility.
This OB is the one my SIL delivered with 6 weeks before Liam was born. I almost switched to him then and I wish I had. He tends to be very hands-off and believes a woman knows what to do. He helped my SIL have a natural VBAC when she didn't have a lot of confidence she could do it.
I kind of had to laugh when the one girl posted that she felt left out that she hadn't had an US yet. She's 6 weeks, it's OK.
With Liam I had an US at about 6 weeks, but that was in the ER due to bleeding. My doctor's office didn't do the first one until 10 weeks. I'll be with a new OB this time, but I'm expecting this to be similar.
