What do you do in a day? Do you have a schedule you try to stick to, or just play it by ear?

During the summer, it's totally relaxed and play it by ear...

During the school year, it's chaos! LOL Heres how it goes:

6am- I wake up and get ready
7am- get all the girls up and ready
7:30am- breakfast/ make lunches
8am- take Lauren to school
8:30am- take Amelia to daycare (my neighbor- lol)
9am- I go to work
9:45am- I drop Iris off in her class
10am- my class arrives
10-2:30 I am working
2:30- leave work and head to get Lauren from school
3pm- pick up Lauren
3:10pm Pick up Amelia
3:30-4pm- snack
4:30-5pm- homework
5:30pm- dinner
6-7pm- outside play
7pm- bath
7:30pm- tv time
8pm- bed time!
The rest of the night I am working on the next day's stuff (putting clothes out, laundry, any cleaning that needs to be done) and attempting to go to bed.... lol

Crazy that I have to lay it all out by hour... but that's the only way things get done!

My typical day is something like this:
7-8am: Emma wakes up and I look at the clock and think "oh no, not already." I go change her diaper and read a story or two, then tell her that her poor ol' ma needs sleep and put her in the crib with some toys and go back to bed.

9-9:30am: I get my lazy butt out of bed and take a shower. Then get Emma up and dressed and feed her breakfast while I get myself dressed and ready for the day. Then I usually start a load of laundry and tidy up around the house and do whatever needs to be done while Emma follows behind me making a mess.

11am or so I make lunch for Emma. I may or may not eat with her depending on what I'm making and how the day is going.

12 noon: Nap time! Sometimes I take a nap too, other wise I go on the computer, watch TV and just relax until I have to go to work.

1:45pm: Start getting ready for work. Around 2 I get Emma up and get her ready to go to daycare.

2:15pm: Leave home. Drop Emma off at my parents' house and then I go to work.

3-11:30pm: Working.

Midnite: I get home from work. Go upstairs and get ready for bed. Sometimes Emma will hear me come upstairs and wake up. If she does I change her diaper, read her a story, and cuddle for a bit. Then DH and I watch TV for a bit. I usually make a snack because I'm always starving when I get home from work.

1:30 am or so: Good night!

If I have the day off, we usually go the the beach or the park or something fun in the afternoon.

Everyday is different in our house but usually here is our schedule

6am- I wake up while everyone sleeps and head to the gym

7am- Get home and jump in the shower (Carter is usually awake already and DH is just waking up to get ready for work)

8am- Claire is awake she drinks her milk and we get her dressed, I'm making breakfast while Carter gets dressed
9am- We either have to be somewhere like a playdate or something or if we are home that is a school day and we begin school

11am- Lunch
12- nap for Claire
1pm- Nap for Carter
3pm- Kids up and since it's been summer time we've normally been going to the pool or Claire has physical therapy.
5pm- Dinner for Claire and sometimes Carter if he can't wait. I start making our dinner.
5:30pm- DH home
6pm- Our Dinner
7pm- Claire in bed (Carter has been having swimming lessons so either DH or I will take him at this time)
8pm- Carter home from swimming lessons and into bed
9pm- Watch a couple shows
11pm- bed for DH and I

Start it all over again the next day

We've got a schedule, & that is about to change. Liberty starts kindergarten next week, so I have to rearrange the schedule for drop off & pick up, plus I have to factor in all my child care children.

6am-I wake up to take my temp and then promptly go back to sleep!

7/7:30: If Will isn't already in our bed (which is usually is) he come in. I try to get him to cuddle w/ me and read books to himself until Kate wakes up at 8-ish. Then we have breakfast/play, etc.

10/10:30: Most days we have some sort of get together or more structured activity with our AP group. Otherwise we just hang out at home.

12-lunch followed by a nap for Kate and a rest time for Will

3-everybody's up by now and we have a snack and either run errands or play

6-dinner

7-baths

8-bed for Kate, Will's in bed looking at books

I go to bed anywhere from 10-1. It depends on how much reading/interneting I want to do

ETA: This is something we kind of strive for. Things obviously don't go this way every day!

We were on a specific schedule until we came here. When we did our schedule consisted of:

7:00 am- wake up and get diapers changed and dressed.
8:00 am- I would begin getting breakfast taken care of.
9:00 am-the kids would be done eating and begin playing for the day.
10:00-noon-the kids played while I would do homework, laundry, or even cleaning up of stuff.
noon is naptime
2:00 or 3:00 pm is normally when they would get up.
2:00 to 3:00 pm-5:00 pm or so is playtime and more stuff tog et done. Sometimes depending on the days was playground time, or something similar.
5:00 pm was dinner and then the kids, Tommy's mom, and I would run to the store.
8:00 pm would be cool down time and about 8:30 to 8:45 pm was my time to go upstairs and get stuff ready for bed.
Then after that the kids would go upstairs. The would fall asleep anywhere from 9:00 pm to 10:30 pm depending on the day. Rylin was normally the ope that was up and did not go to sleep until late. Em most often guaranteed was asleep within a twenty minute time frame of going upstairs.

Right now though we are completely off schedule due to the move. We have some form of routine, but not completely on track due to the time change.

7ish -the kids wake me up
Go downstairs for breakfast
unload the dishwasher
relax - kids play and I internet
do a chore - it's something different every day of the week, (like toilets one day, mopping one day, tubs one day)
start a load of laundry.
do a fun activity with the kids
mon - cooking day
tues - craft day
wed - library day
thurs - learning day
fri - adventure day.

lunch time
about 12 - nap time for halle, quiet time for hayden, me time
in the afternoon we play, clean up, run errands, or I have a list of easy activities for the kids in case they get bored and start terrorizing the house.
4:30 I start diner - and if the kids are crazy and in my way or fighting i turn on a movie
5:15 DH gets home, helps clean up and entertains the kids while I finish dinner.

we eat dinner
play and watch the news
get the kids ready for bed at 7:30

after they are in bed we fold laundry, watch a show, or just do whatever we want for a while.

we try to start getting ourselves to bed at 10:30 but it rarely happens.

except on Mondays where I put something in the crock pot and we pick up DH at school at 4 to go grocery shopping, and then we have dinner ready for us when we get home.
