I read that another expectant mom has this as well.

What can I do to help? The cough is so bad it's making my chest hurt.

I feel like baked ***.

Taking Medication During Pregnancy ? I'd run it by your OB office first just to make sure.

Thank you jac! I knew Ricola was involved.. but I couldn't remember if it was ONLY Ricola, or NO Ricola. I thought it was NO Ricola. Thank you.

I will probably try to ride it out until tomorrow to be sure. But man.. this is kicking my ***. I feel it in my chest real bad.

Maybe Chestal? If you can stomach it, eat some raw crushed garlic. I'm sorry.

I was just about to post this same thing. I am soo freaking sick. I'm going to the dr today at 5 because my chest is killing me and I'm freaked it might be pnemonia (sp?) or something. I'll ask the dr what, if anything we can do to help make us feel better. Definately no fun at all!!!!

ETA: safefetus.com is an awesome website that lists tons of meds and what category they are in (A,B,C etc) I always check there first.

So the Dr said that she would not recommend taking anything in the first tri unless absolutely necessary. She also said any cough drops with menthyl (halls, vicks etc.) are safe but ricola is a no no. Hope that helps. It sucks being so sick!
