I'll try to keep this going through out the next 8 months or so.

Tomorrow is my first prenatal visit and ultrasound. We are very excited to see our little bug on screen. I really hope God lets me keep this one!

As for how I am feeling, other than having a cold/cough, I feel pretty good for the most part. I get headaches every afternoon/evening and sometimes they are pretty bad. I had these with Meg too.
I started getting a little nauseated recently, but it's not bad at all really. My boobs are absolutely killing me..like take your bra off in slow mo so they don't bounce.. killing me. All these things are so awesome to me.. it just makes it feel real.

So.. tomorrow I am praying our little bug flickers on that screen for us!

**********************
Please ignore my pitty party below. I vowed to enjoy this pregnancy no matter what it threw at me, and I am going to do just that.

Here he is! Baby Bug #2. 5wks 5 days based on Ultrasound. Heartbeat of 100bpm.
EDD official from doctor: April 28, 2011.

Should have new beta numbers tomorrow and a follow up ultrasound on the 10th to check progression.

**********************
Since posting my low hcg and progesterone numbers 2 days ago, I have had cramping, back spasms and an upset stomach (which is probably all nerves). Today the bleeding began. It is over and I am saying goodbye to my 4th early angel. I placed a call to the doctors office, because they asked me to call when it started. They mentioned trying to run some chromosomal tests or something.. it is all a blurr. Once she said the numbers, I tuned out most of the rest. Not sure where we go from here. DH is stressed out and doesn't want to see me go through this anymore. We will probably take a break and just let my body rest for awhile. The RE still is ready to do the IUI, but why waste the money if it will just end like the rest of them. I have alot of thinking to do. Love you guys. Thank you for always being there.

Ultrasound on Tuesday morning to check for completion. Doctor submitted a request to the insurance company for the blood panel. If they approve it, we will be doing that. Otherwise, taking a few months off.. and possibly trying again around Christmas.

Based on lmp or in this case the 1st day of m/c... 6 wks 4days. If I go by conception date I think I'm 6wks 2days or something like that.

as much as the sore boobs and headaches suck, it IS a nice reassurance.

Well we saw the heartbeat. 100 bpm. The baby measured 5wks 5 days. I am fairly certain this is not good news. Doc did another blood test and scheduled a follow up ultrasound for the 10th.

Hmm...why is that ominous?

The heart rate goes up as it starts beating and regulating. To even see it before six weeks is great. When my first u/s the measurement was 6w4d (actual 7w4d) and heart beat was 127 and my DR was not concerned. Based on your conception date that would only be 4 days behind right? Which is in the normal window. I read that the fetal heart rate, at 6 weeks of gestation, is around 100 beats per minute.

I will say some prayers for you that the follow up in 10 days relieves your worries. I know it must be impossible to stay positive after what you have been through, but please try.

Heather - please don't be worried, I honest and truthfully think what you saw today is extremely good news. Based on my history, I have spent a ton of time researching on early u/s and everything I read states that the h/b is normally only detectable at 6w, so the fact that you saw one at 5w5d is extremely positive. And it's also very normal for the rate to start off on the low side (in around 100) and then increase up to it's "normal" rate in the 120s - 160s a few days later. So this is also extremely positive. If your concern is the dating at 5w5d, I wouldn't let that bother you too much either, it's really only 4 days off of your calculations which is pretty much within the margin of error for dating this young anyway.

I know how impossible it is not to worry after you've had a m/c previously and I also know there is very little that we can say to make you not worry, but do try as best you can. This is the one downside to early u/s, with the reassurance can come more worry but I bet you a boat load of chocolate that you will see positive growth next u/s and a heart rate right where it should be. In the mean time, I hope the beta comes back with some good news that will help set you at ease as well. When do you expect those results? KUP!

Oh, I'm praying this is all leading to a healthy baby, Heather! I know it's hard to stay positive after all you've been through, so I will do it for you. FX and super healthy sticky coming your way!!!

I can't figure out why I am bummed about this. Maybe because I walked in thinking I was 6wks 5 days and knew the stats I needed to show for that dating. But showing to be 5wk5days threw me off.
Yes.. the heartbeat is 100. Not what I expected or hoped, but that is what it is. Not sure how my calcs were so far off on the dating. But this is what I have, and I should be happy the little one has a HB. So I am going to pull myself out of this funk I am in and be happy.

I tried to post a picture of the little one..but my computer isn't cooperating with me.
I should have my blood draw results back tomorrow or Thursday.

Thank you all. Sorry for being a stick in the mud. I just don't want to be disappointed again.

I don't think you're being a stick in the mud. I think you are trying to be guardedly realistic. Anyone with your history would be! Huge hugs to you I'm sure everything is PERFECT with your bean! If it makes any difference to you Kolbie measured 4 days behind at her 1st u/s too and look at her now!

((HUGS)) Don't apologize, Heather! It's only normal to be hesitant or worried... I'm praying that the u/s is a couple days off, your estimates are a couple days off, and baby's measuring JUST right I can't wait to see this little one progress over the next ... what... 34 weeks?
