my orthostatic intolerance is back.

1st trimester with Brianna, I couldn't stand for more than 20 minutes at a time without getting light headed and potentially passing out. Same thing happened with Wyatt.

The DOWNSIDE.. is that it has come back with Wyatt.. It never did with Brianna. On my feet too much and I get light headed. Today was the kicker.. Went to the grocery store.. and almost went down with Brianna in tow. That could have been ugly.

soo.. no more solo trips to well.. anywhere anymore. 11 more weeks. *sigh*

I had that with one of my pregnancies (don't remember which one ), except I didn't know what it was. I was waiting for a bus at the subway station once and suddenly everything around me started spinning, and I had to find a bench quickly and sit down, and it passed. I had it happen on several occasions and it felt like if I didn't find a seat quick, I would collapse. It essentially happened anytime I had to stand on my feet for 20-30 minutes or more...

It stinks. I hope it goes away for you.

it stinks like LIMBERGER!!

They sent me to a neurologist with Brianna, who explained it.. The blood can't get back up to the heart as well when you're pregnant, leggy or super tall women are more prone to it. Your blood pressure around your brain, etc. drops a little bit, and that makes your body say, 'heart must beat FASTER' and that makes it worse.

the science/biology of it is fascinating to me.. the experiencing of it sucks like a Hoover.

There ya go Julia - it's cause you're so tall! That stinks - I only get really lightheaded if I don't eat for a long time, but a friend of mine who just had a baby had something similar! She said it was by far her worst preggo symptom! Almost there!!!
