Holy crap I forgot how awful morning sickness really is. I'm throwing up like 5 times a day and when I'm not throwing up I feel like I'm about to. Please oh please oh please don't let this last my whole pregnancy again!!!! My dr says since it did last time it will probably stick around again this time. NOOOOOOOO!!! I'm taking the max dose of Diclectin, sucking on my preggie pops like crazy and drinking ginger tea but nothing makes me feel better. I've had yesterday and today off but I have to work tomorrow and saturday. I don't know how I'm going to do it Sorry for the whine fest but I needed to complain

UPDATE

I'm feeling much better today. Still pretty sick but at least I can keep food down. Hopefully the meds are starting to do their job and I keep getting better The things we put ourselves through for our kids. It's definitely worth it in the end though.

Ugh that sucks. I have no idea how people with M/S can function. I'm a pansy when it comes to nausea. If the meds aren't helping can't they try something else, like Zofran?

I don't think we have Zofran here. I know my gf had worse m/s than me and her dr put her on some crazy med with a whole list of really scarey side effects. She said it helped but she lost feeling in one side of her face for a while. That is just too scarey for me. I'm going to talk to my dr about it again at my next appt but I've already been through this and I'm pretty sure there's nothing else I can take. I also remember after the first tri was over I only threw up once or twice a day. I'll get through it but it really is tough. Poor Jake has to put up with a lame mommy who can hardly get off the couch It sucks.

ETA: This is what Diclectin is. Its just B6 and some anthistamine. Doesn't do much if you ask me

Doxylamine succinate/pyridoxine HCI (Diclectin®), a combination of vitamin B6 and an antihistamine called doxylamine, is the only medication approved in Canada for the treatment of nausea and vomiting in pregnancy. Its safety and effectiveness for the treatment of NVP is recognized by Health Canada. Its safety throughout pregnancy has been long established and studies have shown no evidence that harmful effects are experienced by babies.

I don't have any lemons but I have been drinking lemonade and peppermint tea. They both help some. I made a dr's appt for tomorrow. I'm going to ask her if there's anything else I can try. Thanks for the suggestions

Man am I sorry! (Zofran made m/s worse for me..) I really hope it isn't go bad, or at least ends after the trimester, after having all day sickness for the entire 9 mos, I wouldn't wish that on anyone I hope you find something that works. I have no suggestions. Everything I tried failed.

Thanks Nicole. I've been taking Diclectin and it's working!!! This is the first morning I have not thrown up!! AHHHHHHHHHH lol. I had it for the whole 9 months as well and man does it suck. As long as I can keep it under control I'm happy I don't know how you did it with 2 boys to care for. It's hard!

I get my Diclectin for free since its covered by our health plans. I have to take 6 a day though to keep myself from throwing up. I'm still vomiting every morning but my tummy starts to relax a bit by the afternoon. I feel soooooo groggy all the time though. I know it is really expensive if its not covered though
