So DH and I agreed before we knew what we were having that if it was a girl, we'd call her Ruby, and if it was a boy, we'd call him Owen.
Now, not surprisingly, he's having second thoughts about Ruby (he attributes it to the fact that he just really loved the name Owen and has to get over not using it. I think he's just trying to push my buttons, since I have LOVED the name Ruby since before I was even pg. Argh.)
Now we are debating over names and I need some input. Help!
I like Ainsley best, but a shorter name with 4 letters goes better with Jack (i.e. Ruby). I like Alyssa better than Alicia, but I think Alicia is pretty too with "Ali" as a nickname, maybe. Ivy is okay =) I prefer the other 3, though!
I do not like Alicia (just because I had some bad experiences with a girl named Alicia)..
there was a girl named Ainsley who got teased a lot when we were in middle school. They called her Anusly. Poor kid hated her name and changed and went by her middle name, Michelle and became Shelly in high school.
I chose Ruby as I do really like it, but then thinking about it with Jack I thought of Jack Ruby who was the guy who killed Lee Harvey Oswald. Ivy would be my second choice. It's very pretty too. Sorry, but I really don't like Ainsley or Alicia.
