We're now 16 days out from going cold turkey on the bink and he hasn't asked once! He even sees Bishops binks and hands them to us saying "no, no!"

So proud of my chunkamunk

NICE!! We need to get on this like yesterday. It's really hard to say no when he asks us for his "binkit" tho. We are giant pushovers when he is sleepy and sad.

parent fail.

I'm with Naomi. Sigh. We started the process once and backtracked. I'm aiming for her 2nd bday now.

That's great! I can only hope for the same.

That's great! Natalie never took one but some of my others did and it wasn't always easy to get them away!

Oh believe me Naomi, I totally gave in for the longest time and I think we were the reasons he had it longer. It was easy for me because the kid is a screamer. I still have days i want to give it to him to just to quiet down haha.

Honestly had he not lost his last one I'm sure he'd still have it.

My 3yr old son Landan died 23hrs after being diagnosed with Meningococcal Meningitis. It is a potentially vaccine preventable disease. The vaccine isn't on the schedule until 11-12yrs but is approved for use at age 2yrs. Our second son received the vaccine in December 2010 when he was 2yrs old. My son & thousands of other children prove that a vaccine is needed at a younger age.
