I need to purchase some gifts for my brother in law and girlfriend and my sister and her husband for Christmas. I want something nice but not cheapy but does not cost a fortune either. Any ideas? I was thinking of getting them bathrobes and having his and hers embroidered on them? Is that cheesy? My sister and her hubby will be getting married over Thanksgiving.

What about aprons embroidered with Mr & Mrs, then a gift certificate to a cooking store or a cooking class?

I just don't like getting a bathrobe since I NEVER wear one - but I LOVE cooking stores, lol!

To piggyback off Jill's suggestion, do you know of any activities each couple likes to do together - whether it's cooking, biking, going to concerts, etc? Then, you could sort of build around that.

How about a gift certificate to a bed & breakfast for a night?

A gift certificate for dinner? A gift card for the movies & popcorn?

OOO! What about the apron idea and then something like this
Gift Baskets

That way they can use your gift for a romantic night in...

I like embroidered/monogrammed bath towels with nice soap and a loofah.

When I was getting married we LOVED getting stuff off our registry. Do they have one? That would be great b/c they chose everything they wanted/needed.

I also saw this and it's not expensive at all but it looks like a nicer more expensive item you could get at Lowe's. I am thinking of getting one for some people on my list.

My favorite gift when DH and I got married was luggage. It may sound strange but we really needed it. I think I would just check their registry and see what is in your price range.
