Wyatt's 15 days old, and the original bleeding stopped around day 10 and I spotted a little bit yesterdays.. We went grocery shopping, out to dinner, etc. last night, and I was really tired afterwards, but nothing I haven't done in days prior.

Now, I'm bleeding again. Pretty heavily. Not the pouring blood type of situation, but definitely soaking a pad. I'm going to keep watch on it.. but has anyone had this happen after a c-section? Did it go away quickly?

Yep! I bled on and off for about 6 weeks. Some days it was barely noticable, others I was changing pads pretty frequently. It was an indicator I was doing too much for that day so I just made sure to rest up and take it easy for the next day. If you are soaking more than one an hour then I'd worry, but if it's like a heavy period then I wouldn't freak too much. Of course if you are worried either way, by all means call your doc!

C-section and vaginal birth both, I bled on and off for 4-6 weeks. It's totally normal.

My 2nd c/s I bled on/off for TWELVE weeks! It was crazy! But I think part of it was due to not bleeding nearly at all when in the hospital. it sounds normal to me, keep an eye out for big (egg sized) clots. I was told if you're soaking more then a pad and having big clots like that, you should be seen.

I bleed for eight weeks straight. Keep the pads on hand, you've probably got a while more!

I agree - I am a little over 2 weeks PP, and I have thought a few times that I was done bleeding, but nope...still going! LOL. But if it's excessive - more than a pad an hour, or you are passing large clots definitely call the doc!

I bled or spotted for 6 weeks with both vag and c/s. I had to have surgery at 4wks pp and they told me to take my underwear off, and I had to explain that I was still bleeding and eww. lol Anyway, definitely keep an eye on it and try not to overdo it because I do have a friend who had to be hospitalized due to PP bleeding a few weeks out, but I think it was quite a bit of blood that she lost. I hope it's just normal bleeding for you, but I'm sure it is a bummer if you thought you were done.
