Hi all,
Heather - you commented on my facebook status, so I thought I'd go ahead and give an update.

All is well, I'm just feeling awful. You know the stuff. I'm not having "morning sickness" per say. No nausea, no throwing up. But I just feel icky. Always. I can't eat anything as I'm having aversions to everything. Well, not anything. I can drink hot chocolate and some orange juice. I can eat popcorn, carrots, and fudgcicles. Sounds healthy, huh? I pretty much lay down all day on the couch. So much fun!! I hate this part of pregnancy.

I wrote to my midwife, as I can feel the dehydration starting. So, David is picking up B6 and lemon drops and should be home soon. She told me that if it doesn't get better in a few days that she'll give me zofran. I'm glad about that, but hoping it doesn't come to that, as I'm not really "sick". But if it will help, I'll be glad to take it.

Oh, the midwife...she came to meet us at the house a few weeks ago. She stayed for over 2 hours. It was a great meeting. That night, David agreed to a home birth! I'm so excited! She said that there are only a few things that will risk me out. A transverse baby, pre-e, and placental previa. Breech, twins, post-dates, etc. are all no problem. She's a L&D nurse at the hospital for her day job, so she has a lot of connections with the hospital. And, because she's a CNM, she can write prescriptions, etc. for me. Oh, and she'll even be doing all the lab work here at my house when she comes for the appointments.

Because my cycle was so wonky, we are doing a dating ultrasound. But because of insurance stuff, we can't get in until the 1st of April. By then I'll be between 10w2d and 11w6d. I'm hoping I'm further along, as that would mean the end of this crappy feeling sooner, LOL! But my gut is saying it's the earlier date.

So, there you go. I'm back online at home, and we only have 4 more weeks in this place. I can't wait to move into the new house!

So glad to hear this update is about morning sickness.. and not something else. I am sorry you are uncomfortable, but hopefully it will all be over shortly and you can enjoy the pregnancy!

Oh.. and the homebirth sounds great. It sounds like everything is lining up the way you want!

Wow Wendy, you sound like you are doing great considering the physical side of things that can bring you down. I'm so glad you are getting to where you want to be and to the birth that would be amazing to experience. I have a feeling this little girl is going to show you a whole nother side of motherhood that will fulfill your family and life experiences *pinky dust* hehehe

That's all great news! Well, except for the ickies of course, which I hope pass quickly for you. The midwife and home birth possibility are definitely very exciting though!

Good news!!! I'm feeling great! It's been two days now since I last felt icky. What a relief!! Turns out my biggest issue is gas. Oh, it's so painful! But, thanks to gax-x, I'm doing better! I'm eating normal food, getting up and doing stuff, it's great!!!!!
