I do! Travis has his own little apron (they all do) and he wears it to "help" mama in the kitchen. He loves to set the table and unload the dishwasher. He also likes to pick off of others plates as I'm getting them ready for the meal. He loves to sit on the counter and supervise.

Anyone else's little one interested in the kitchen?

Oh yes! Ava is definitely my little chef She gets her step stool and climbs right up next to me and helps me cook. She will also empty the dishwasher, grab me ingredients from the fridge or pantry, help me measure out things, mix stuff, ect. She LOVES to be in the kitchen. She also does this with my mom, and it is so cute to see them cooking together

Zeke likes to stand on a chair next to me and help mix things, he's also obsessed with the pepper grinder and tries to add it to everything we make! He likes me to name everything and taste it as we go along, (especially when I make a salad, he gets most of his dinner vegetable portion eaten this way and just has the meat on his plate at meal time) and for the first 5 minutes I always wonder why I don't have him to help more often, but then a few minutes later, after giving him his 5th spoon to mix with (he mixes for two seconds then licks the spoon!) or stopping him putting yet more pepper in, I realise why I cook alone so often lol!

Yup, I let her help me put things into pots if it is something toddler friendly (eggs, potatoes, rice, pasta) and carry the pots back and forth with a little help. We also often make coffee together in the morning (one scoop for me, one scoop for her). She was also very happy to get to chop a mushroom the other day (with a very blunt knife), she actually made a pretty good job of it considering but got bored after that first mushroom.

Hi Mari, nice to see you! :-)

I love my kitchen helper. She throws things away for me, puts them back in the refrigerator and takes dirty dishes and puts them in the sink. She also drags her little chair over and stands on it so she can watch what I'm doing. She always tells me what she sees...."chop chop chop!" or "mmm, carrots! So good!" She loves to mix stuff in bowls. She even thinks the name of the oven is "hot hot hot! Ouchie!" That's what she calls it when she sees a picture of one.

I try to get her to help out, but since I don't do much of the cooking, it doesn't happen very often. Doug thinks she gets under his feet too much to want her in there.
