This is a little late - busy week/weekend and we've been updating our laptop to Windows 7 and a new MS Office, which is highly annoying and time consuming.
Weight lost this week (as of Friday) - 2 lbs
Total Weight Loss : 28 lbs (as of Friday...I have lost at least 2 more pounds this weekend)
So a 2 lb loss, pretty good on a normal diet, we all know it's a pretty low number on this diet, but I am actually really happy. 4th of July weekend murdered my diet for at least 4 days - ribs, burgers, cake, beer, you name it. For some reason I couldn't get myself back on track until Wednesday so I must have gained a pound or so, then maybe lost 3 or something. But it's a loss, and that's great! And since then I've been dropping like crazy, so sometimes I think fueling your body differently for a few days can re-jumpstart your weight loss when you get strict again.
So the BEST news of the week - my labs came back for my halfway checkup.
My insulin/glucose has always been fine, and continues to be. Blood pressure is always good - about 116/78. Resting pulse has come down 8 beats/minute to 70 instead of 78, which is good.
My cholesterol at the beginning of this diet was HIGH - 220. It is not a VERY reasonable 152!!! It has dropped 70 points in just 6 weeks! I am amazed, and SO happy for that. Even though I am still overweight and want to drop more weight, at least I know I am really quite healthy
I'm SO close to my pre-Keller weight - about 5 lbs. So I am hoping to hit that number in the next week or two. Never thought I'd see it again.
