Dom went to bed just before 9 last night. From 10:40 on he has been tossing and turning in his bed. About every 20 mins or so I woke up to hear him basically whining & moaning, not truly crying. Not once has he called for DH or I, though we've taken turns going in to check on him. No fever, not cold, not clammy. For the most part, he seems to still be asleep. He did tell DH that hiis leg hurt, but an hour later told me it didn't. He told me his belly hurt, but he didn't want to go the bathroom and he didn't want to eat anything. I really don't know what to make of this. Growing pains, maybe??? I'm waking him up soon to take him to the sitter's... Hopefully it's nothing serious. He's never really done something like this before.
It might be growing pains. Kaylie use to get terrible growing pains in her legs and act just like Dom at night. We use to give her a little Tylenol so she could get some rest.
But if he is saying his tummy hurt maybe he just has a tummy ache. Be careful though b/c there is a little 24hr bug going around. It has been all over DH's work and finally hit my family a couple of weeks ago. I had BAD cramps with it before the vomiting started
He woke up w/ a stuff/runny nose that has carried through the whole day. No one I know has been sick lately so it never crossed my mind. I did start teaching again three days ago so maybe I picked something up & passed it on to him w/o getting sick myself. Good news is, unlike his mother, he's been his usual energetic self! I'm really hoping for a better night's sleep for all of us tonight!!!
I have bronchitis and I'm pretty sure Landon is getting sick too. He has been coming back to my bed each night to sleep with me since dh works nights and we have the whole bed. He hasn't slept in our bed in well over a year so it is the only other thing crossing my mind.
Last night he woke up crying about an hour after he went to sleep, but shortly fell back asleep. A half hour later he awoke again. DH went in by him for a few minutes & he went back to sleep. Then he slept fine the rest of the night. Thank goodness! I'm home w/ the kids today b/c for the first time in five years my school has made this a four day weekend (yes!). Unfortunately, he has been one snotty (physically, not personally) little boy. Every time I look at him his face his covered in boogers...gross, I know. And he's been very whiny. Fortunately, I *think* he may have just fallen asleep.
