LOL I know this isn't true. Don't even ask how I found this story LOL
FACEBOOK WILL END ON MARCH 15th, 2012!*|*Weekly World News

But I was wondering, what would your reaction be if Facebook really WAS going to close down next month?

and in case anyone is really worried, here's what snopes says:
snopes.com: Facebook Will End on March 15th

The comments on the WWN site are kind of funny if you want some humor to waste your time!

I would be disappointed, but woudn't think that much about it... I would go back to photo-sharing for my family on a different online site. That's probably about it.

It wouldn't be that big of deal for me. I'd share pics elsewhere (already do with a lot of ppl anyway) and just use email more.

I suppose I'd be forced to call my mother more often...

I think I would be upset at first. I keep in touch with a lot of people from my hometown/high school that way. But really I think that the people who matter, will keep in touch no matter what. I'd have to start mailing my grandparents and aunts more pictures, either email or snail mail! I'd also have to make sure I got everyone's contact info before hand. There are a few people I'd be upset if I lost touch with again.

I think my house would be cleaner

Did anyone see the Simpsons a couple of weeks ago? Lisa created a site like Facebook and had to shut it down because people were so addicted that they were running people over, etc. As soon as she deleted the site, everyone started playing outside! It was too funny, but made a good point.

It wouldn't bother me that much if Facebook weren't around.

I'd be disappointed, mainly because I keep in distant touch with a lot of my professional musician friends from college on there that I wouldn't necessarily know how to contact any other way. It has been really helpful to be able to ask their advice when I have a teaching issue, or even to connect certain people together when needed. For instance, a singer friend of mine here in Seattle recently auditioned at the Eastman School of Music. One of the guys who had been an undergrad at TCU when I was doing my master's was doing his graduate work there, and I was able to get the two of them in touch with each other. And of course it is nice being able to see all the pics of everybody's kiddos, even your more distant friends But, like Jess said, my house would probably be quite a bit cleaner if facebook didn't exist
