I think it might be helpful with your history to get started with someone soon.

With my miscarriages there were so many more signs other than the bleeding. I feel hopeful for you because you just had lite spotting.

I moved my 1st appointment. I read a few times on the October 2012 board that people were being seen so early, they couldn't see anything. I don't want to risk that. So I moved my appointment back to the 9th. That will put me at 7weeks.. and I will feel better about that. I've been seen as early as 5w4d and saw a heartbeat before, but I want to be sure. The 3 week wait between the 1st and 2nd appointments would be unbearable if I didn't see what i need to see.

That's a good idea.

I think I will try and get in tomorrow for a blood test. I'm sure an ultrasound would be pointless at this stage.

I am totally not enjoying this pregnancy anymore. I feel like everything is on hold until I see a heartbeat.

I know how you feel. Not too much longer though.

I actually did a bit of reading tonight and feel a bit better about things. It looks like a lot of women can have spotting at the time of their next period. I looked at my charts and last month my cycle was 34 days. Yesterday when I had the spotting it was CD 35, which would have been my new CD 1. I think my body could just be slightly confused, hormonally. Crossing my fingers anyway.

So I called the DR that was highly recommended to me from about 10 people in NY and they won't see me until March 22 when I'll be almost 10 weeks. They said there was nothing to do for spotting, I asked if I could get bloodwork and they said no. So I am going to google people until I find someone who will see me to do blood. Ridiculous.

Kristen, FWIW, I had a lot of spotting with Liam. Mostly brown, but some pink and red too. So much so that I went to the ER when I couldn't find an OB who would see me. Obviously, everything turned out fine for me and I'm hoping you get the same result.

Well I called them back and gave them hell and they said they would see me on March 8. Better than March 22 I guess.

I hate that you had to get mean to get seen (that rhymed!!). Doctors and their staff should hear the concern in your voice and at least offer a beta or something.

I don't like the medical people sometimes. I know they have to keep their distance and not get involved, but come on.

Congrats on getting the new appointment. You will be going the day before me. We should have lots of news to share.

So how are you feeling Heather?

Have you told anyone yet? Are you definitely getting an ultrasound at your appointment?

I am feeling ok. I am getting kinda nauseated by smells lately and my asthma has flared up badly. Today I feel really heavy in my gut.. not crampy really, just heavy. I can't wait until my lunch hour so I can go take a nap. I can't complain, I am just happy to be pregnant.

I told my parents, a close friend, a lady at church and my sisters. They all know my story and are pulling for me. Otherwise, I am staying silent. I need to see that heartbeat to feel better about everything.

Have you told anyone?

I have that same heaviness today in my uterus. It's kind of achy.

We told the boys, my sister, my parents and some local mom friends because I needed an OB recommendation.

Yes.. achy is a good word for it. We must be at the same stage. How cool is that to be in sync with this pregnancy.

I hope you get some good obvious signs that things are ok over the next 2 weeks. I feel like every symptom is just a little annoying reassurance that things are going to be ok.

Yeah, I napped for 2 hours yesterday and went to bed at my usual time and I assumed it was caffeine withdrawal but I am totally more tired than just not having my coffee.

I am super psyched to get nauseous, I think then I will feel relieved.

I do not like the way I feel today. Feeling kinda crampy now.. with the heavy feeling. Very not feeling good. It feels kinda like the way I feel before bad things happen. Must stay positive. Trying to have faith.

I'm starting to feel similar to you. My lower back is achy on and off. Take a break from our DDC. You don't need it. Enjoy your pregnancy, the odds of everything being ok are in your favor.

Thank you Cyndee. I feel better today. The crampy feeling is more of a pulling feeling.. something that feels more normal I guess. Yesterday i just felt negative. Today, not going to go down that path.

I hope you feel better Kristen.

Heather that's a normal feeling I remember clearly from Sams pregnancy. These twinges are more pronounced the more children you have.

I woke up feeling nauseous and thought it was from a bad nights sleep but I've had coffee and a bagel and I still feel icky.
