Is your kiddo participating in any sports this summer?

I wanted to let Thea do one if she wanted (either T-ball or soccer), but she still isn't old enough this year. I think that is kind of dumb. For both, the kids have to be entering Kindergarten or turn 5 by Sept 1. My nephew who lives in a different area but is the same age as Thee, is in his second year of soccer already. I am disappointed a little because I know Thee would have fun and wants to do it.

Lily swims year round, she's working on learning to dive right now. She also does Zumba dance. But that's the only things. I probably won't sign her up for any summer things since the baby will be so little and I don't really want to be driving everywhere all the time yet. She may do a small tennis camp though - usually it starts at age 4, but my mom can get her in early since she can already play pretty well and my mom knows all the coaches around here.

I will be putting Lexy into swimming at an outdoor pool here, but other than that, probably not.

We have a program through the city rec. department called "smart starts." It is for kids 3-5 years old and is non-competitive skill learning class. It is also a parent-child class, which I love because Jonah gets to do something with his Daddy. Since Daryl is such a computer geek, it's one of the few times that Jonah sees him doing something physically active

They have basketball, soccer, and I think baseball and a few others. Jonah is doing basketball right now and I think we'll sign him up through the summer. Someone told me that tee-ball is over because here it is an indoor sport... ??? This was just a random dad at the park, so I don't know if that is true or not

Not sure yet. The kids just started a Spring 2 session of swim at the Y; I plan to continue that for the summer session. My neighbor wants me to sign Dom up for baseball thru a private organization. We did at last Fall. Dom enjoyed it but was a terrible listener so I don't know if I want to try it again. Plus, I already know we'll miss 2, possibly 3 or 4 of the 10 classes!
Like you we can't do any of our town's rec dept sports b/c you have to be 4 by June 1st.

Max is still too young. Soccer is for Kindergarten kids and t-ball starts at 6. I may sign him up for swim lessons at the pool, not sure, depends on cost.

I thought about signing Josiah up for Daddy and Me soccer, but I think I'm going to wait one more year. My goal for this summer is to get him swimming in the pool. We took one session of swim lessons last year, and had a really scary experience in the class when he ended up underwater underneath the large foam mat (some of you probably remember the story). So, needless to say, I have been VERY hesitant to enroll him in formal lessons again. I am thinking of just taking him to open swim time on a regular basis and starting to teach him myself.

Delilah is going to a week of Ballerina camp in June. I want to see if she likes it before we spend the money enrolling her in ballet dance for the school year.

I'm not sure yet. Probably just swimming and hula. I'd like the girls to keep going to their gymnastics and ballet classes too, if they don't conflict with their summer school schedule, which we haven't been given yet. They like all their classes.
